For a safe, neat connection, finish your cables with the Cambridge Audio 4mm Banana Plugs.
Using 4mm banana plugs for your speaker cables offers several advantages. Any stray wires are kept within the plastic shield, reducing the likelihood of a short circuit and potential damage to your speakers or amp. Plugs are also ideal if you move the system, as they're easier to connect and disconnect. The gold-plated contacts also offer a low resistance, corrosion-free contact for the best sound quality.
The perfect match for Cambridge Audio cables but also suitable for all brands, these 4mm plugs make the ideal finishing touch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bowski from Helped me out in a tight spot! I was struggling to fit some quite thick speaker wire to bookshelf speakers in a tight space. I visited Richer Sounds Bristol and got some good advice and now have these on the ends of the wires where they go into the receiver. It makes them fit better, but is also easy to fiddle with them in the limited space. Easy to fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Caltod from Improvement in connectivity and sound I bought the plugs a couple of weeks ago to replace an older set. Whilst the improvements in sound quality can be very subjective, the improvements in connectivity is bound to have some effect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Leeps from Excellent for the money I initially went to RS to purchase Cambridge Audio Premium banana plugs as I had used these in my main system and liked them a lot. The standard ones aren’t quite as nice, but they’re about half the cost, and as the premium ones were out of stock, I went for these. No buyers remorse at all. They have just one tightening screw on one side, as opposed to two on the premium plugs, but in practice it doesn’t make much difference. The sheaths aren’t quite as nicely finished as the premium ones, but they work solidly enough. I needed them for a second system (Quad Vena II driving some vintage Ruark Epilogue II’s). My speakers were bi-wirable but were missing the jumpers as I didn’t want to biwire them. Trying to fiddle with joining cables for the treble and bass AND trying to stuff in speaker cable with the same connection is virtually impossible, so banana plugs were the way to go. In a way I wished I’d used these on my main system as I’m using 5.1 so would have saved a lot of money. One main difference between these and the premium Cambridge banana plugs: the premium ones must have the sheaths in place before screwing in the cables. With these standard plugs you can put the sheath on afterwards. And most importantly, apart from the far superior use of banana plugs over bare wire, I’m extremely happy with the resulting sound of my Quad / Ruark combo.
