Great, natural sounding headphones at a good price
This is my third pair of Grado SR series headphones, all from Richer Sounds. I use them when playing keyboards and organs, and when teaching on line via Zoom. I need to hear what the instruments are actually producing, without unwanted colouration. The Grados deliver that very well. I've had to buy some replacement ear pads for my first Grado SR60 set, but that's fair enough, they got used a lot!

Classical Music on a Sony Walkman NW-A55L
I was looking for an upgrade Classical Music listening experience on my firmware upgraded (curtesy of Mr Walkman) Sony Walkman NW-A55L on my Bose QC35 II headphones.
Previously, I compared and contrast my current headphones with a £300 Bose QuietComfort which were slightly better than my current Bose but I questioned were they worth a £300 upgrade.
I went in the Holborn store wanting to sample the £129 Sennheiser HD560S as various online reviews that they were a good neutral headphone for classical music.
In my opinion, I found the Sennheiser sounded much clearer compared to the Bose QuietComfort as I listen to Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto as I could distinguish the Double Base which did not feel muffled.
But then I sampled the £99 Grado SR-80X and I felt that I could hear the Double Bass along with the Clarinet for the first time.
The Sennheiser and Grado were not as comfortable compare to the Bose but the sound reproduction of both were far superior than both Bose with the Grado being a bit more comfortable compare to the Sennheiser and dynamic range appeared greater but I am no audiophile.
For listening at home in a quiet room the Grado are superb and great value for money.

Timeless build quality and classic soundstage
Purchased this for my partner to get upgraded beyond cheaper in ears to pair with a Sony NW A45. They are thrilled and commented on how clear the instruments sounded across artists as diverse as Ghost to Yes to Northern Sea Dialect.

Proven workhorse, second pair since my sr80e
Amazing pair of cans as expected. Clear, punchy bass without any of the garbage mushiness that comes with ”bass heavy” cans. Pristine mods and highs. AND finally a braided cable, what else do you want. Run them though a DAC and you got your daily driver/reference cans.

Exactly what wanted as I was replacing an older pair.
Last time I bought in store at Cambridge. This time on-line as I knew what I wanted and when I needed them for.
The level of service and communication with Richer Sounds is absolutely first class - if only all businesses were as professional as you!

Fabulous sound...
...and really comfortable to boot! Love open back phones anyway, but these are great - excellent sound from top to low end, no harsh treble or bloated bass here - just lovely, natural music! Usual speedy service from RS too, thank you!

Great But Not Perfect
The only issue I have with mine is the connection from the cable to the jack really needs to be more articulated. Mine failed within months and they sit useless in a drawer now.
