Easy to set up and many features to explore.
This was purchased to replace a pretty ancient Humax recorder which served me well.
This has so many features, I'm not sure if I'll ever use them all. If it proves as durable as my previous model, I'll be very satisfied. A good reason to buy from Richer is the great value warranty. Also, must mention Sam at Solihull, an absolute star.

Was a little worried after reading mixed reviews for this, but needed to replace a failed Youview box and there is not much competition at the moment in this space so ended up purchasing this anyway; I'm very glad I did.
This is a big upgrade on what I previously had, it was easy to get setup and has done everything I needed it to do so far and more. I've had no issues with recordings (submitting box directly via the box and also via the Aura Android App) and also had the added bonus of installing Plex and working seamlessly with my existing server.
Only real downside for me was the price - feel this is a little overpriced for what it is.

My life is so much easier!
I purchased this FVP about a week and a half ago and it has made my life so much easier! I have an old Humax PVR which still works after 14 years (also purchased from Richer Sounds) but it had taken to skipping regularly during recordings and so I was endlessly on my Laptop catching up on the bits I had missed! Now I have an FVP that records wonderfully with a better picture as I can now get HD channels, it doesn't cut off the beginning or end, or skip, I can record 4 programmes and watch a fifth (before I could only record two and watch a third), I can get all the Freeview catch-up channels so no having to power up the Laptop. This unit can do all my old machine could but so much better and with so many more options - I also have so many more channels I can record from. I did have a teething problem with my Wifi and received some advice on ringing my local Richer Sounds which was very helpful but actually solved the problem very easily via the FAQs on the Humax website. I'm so pleased also that I can use this unit with my current bog standard (non smart) TV and the setting up was dead easy just following the information on the screen and so far I've managed to learn how to use it via knowledge of my old machine and common sense without the need to refer to the 73 page online manual. The only notes of criticism are that I couldn't get my remote to pair with my TV but that's probably down to being an old non smart TV and the text on the Guide and Recording Schedule are a lot smaller than on my old machine but these are only minor niggles. Also I was so pleased with the help I received on my purchase at Richer Sounds. I even some advice on an HDMI switcher that they don't even sell because I only have one HDMI port and needed more which helped me locate the correct type to buy from another source. We have always bought all our TV related equipment at Richer Sounds for years and always have a good experience and will continue to do so. Also their guarantee cover is cheap and if you don't claim on it you get the money back at the end of the term - what's not to love about that!

Nice looking set.
Small and easy to set up. Only took me about an hour and that included taking it out of the box. Picture quality is good and also simple to use. Plenty of features built in.

Great Item, Rapid Delivery. Competetive price
I ordered this to replace a Humax FVP5000T which had lost connection with the hard disk storage. The unit is much faster (on and off the network) with a host of new Apps and features delivered by the Android TV core, including FTP, Media Server and CX File explorer.
There is an issue with picture breaking up on the tuner (which does not happen on the TV nor the FVP5000T so Richer are swapping it out in the next 5 days
