The ZEN Stream is the ideal way of keeping you’re streaming music services together, under one ‘roof’. It works directly with Spotify, Spotify Connect, TIDAL and TIDAL Connect apps. It’s also compatible with any DNLA certified app, letting you easily stream music that’s stored on other devices. AirPlay and Chromecast* compatibility make it easy to stream from your Apple iOS or Android device. For multiroom compatible, the Stream works with Roon*, too. The Zen Stream is a streaming transport, meaning the digital-only device needs to be connected to a separate DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) or amp/AVR with digital input. Simply connect via the coaxial digital or USB outputs to your choice of DAC.

Great sounds, easy to use
I have been looking for a streamer for a little while to replace a Sonos ZP90 that I'd moved from my main living room when I set up a listening room. Anyway, I wanted one without a DAC if I could find one as I have an Audiolab M-DAC+ which is beautiful.
I had read and watched (on YouTube) a few reviews on the iFi Zen Streamer and despite the quirks, it is universally acknowledged that it sounds great - it does.
I also have to say, I am not the most tech savvy person in the world, but this was very easy to set up, within a couple of mins I was streaming from Spotify.
I think the other review should be taken down as it is misleading, you can't say something it great sounding but knock it down a couple of stars because you can't turn it off - apparently it's fine to do so, I spoke to iFi about it.
Shout out to the Preston store, always helpful. Not a stock item, but ordered it on Monday and it was with me Wednesday - well done James (I think it was James, apologies if it was someone else, correct me in the comments). John

Zen streamer.
Great sound, noticeable improvement on bluetooth.
Unfortunately the device has no standby mode, so uses an unacceptable amount of power when not in use. You can switch power off, but then have to repeat the set up procedure needed to link tablet or phone to the streamer,
So I returned it to Richer Sounds, who refunded. I would give 5 stars, but for power consumption.
