Simply download the HEOS Home Entertainment Skill app and then just ask Alexa or the Google Assistant to perform basic functions. Using the Apple Home App, Siri voice control from your Apple iOS device brings added functionality over AirPlay 2 – including grouping devices.

Amazing
I have had this amp on approval for two weeks and I am amazed how good it is. I know it's not real high end, but is more than adequate for my ears. I'm not very technical but found Heos simple to set up after a couple of hiccups. Amazon bribed me with Prime for free for a month, so I have been streaming. Absolutely fantastic. All I can say is buy it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed as long as your not a hifi geek.

A very sound package!
This amp has now been hooked up to my system, replacing a 20 year old Naim pre and power amp. Rest of system is Marantz cd60, PMC FB3 speakers and LP12 deck - plus a refurbished Nakamichi cassette deck.
It all sounds very good with a definite improvement on cd sound, matching vinyl playback and at times bettering it. Vinyl seems a little lacking on some titles but this may be due to more accurate analysis of output by the amp.
Overall this amp is superb, weighs a ton (!) and in silver looks very stylish. Pity hardcopy manual not include as there are various settings available through options menu, discovered almost accidentally. For an old British analogue amp man the Bluetooth capability is great.
Really happy with this amp, thank goodness as it was not cheap but I believe worth every penny.

Oozes quality
Bought this to replace a 145w 2.1 Denon receiver. Despite its lower rated power the 40n drives my focal speakers so much better.
The dac is a huge step up, as is the phono stage, it isn’t just something they’ve thrown on just to say it has one. A real quality bit of kit.
Excellent service from the chaps in Nottingham as always.

Very pleased
I have had this streaming amplifier for a couple of weeks now and I am very pleased with the sound through B&W 706 s3 speakers. I am hearing lots of detail and very impressive imaging from Tidal HiFi and local FLAC files through the USB input. Playing audio from my TV via the optical input I switch on the tone controls and dial down the bass a little and boost the treble for extra clarity - not possible with some of the alternative products. The unit looks fabulous in Silver. The absence of a large cover-art screen is a bonus for me as I will be able to upgrade the streaming side when the technology moves on without feeling that I have lost anything. Great service from Jack at RS Bristol!

Knowing Marantz I purchased the 40n, I have no regrets.
Well made great sound.
If in the market for a amp the Marantz won't disappoint

Marantz Class (and it sings!)
After a short term with the Marantz 7000 amplifier, a slight problem occurred in which the power failed. Whilst under guarantee I chopped in the amp for a replacement, but hold on......what’s this other higher budget amp I saw! Enter the Marantz 40n. After a great negation with the manager in Maidstone, he kindly let me do the upgrade, and Im soooo pleased I did. What a gorgeous amp. So easy to set up, after hooking in to my vintage Rega Ela floorstanding speakers, my gosh what power, depth, sweet high notes and so much of an epic sound even whilst played low in volume. I even hooked I’m my subwoofer for extra depth. I love the modern look of the amp too. Very much a sign of the times. The HEOS app recognised the 40n straight away, unlike the 7000, and I was away with the radio radio! streaming, the lot! . I rate this amplifier as just, SUPERB. Such precision on all genres of music, I mean this amp really does Sing. Only one thing I’d have liked! The front fascia backlight, although dimmable, wish it was the colour blue and not white. Just sayin. So go on treat yourself, at this price there’s nothing out there to match. Great service and back up from the Maidstone shop. Thank you

Superb All In One Amplifier
Needed to replace my aging Technics SUA-900MkII with something more up to date in terms of digital connectivity but moreso in terms of sound quality to power my Dali Opticon 6 Mk1's. Initially had a budget of around £1200 but would stretch it for the right amplifier. Damien at the Brighton store gave me several suggestions and after whittling it down to my very specific needs, the Marantz 40n was the leading contender. Having spent an age checking the reviews for it I decided to take up the kind offer of a home trial. What a beautiful amplifier it is. First, the build quality. Oh my! You know you've spent well on that basis alone (I daren't tell the wife how much I stretched the budget). Then you hook it up which is straightforward. The sound is wonderfully musical with great timing and a fabulous open soundstage. I can honestly hear instruments that I never heard before from my CD collection despite having heard many amplifiers belonging to friends. I can't turn myself away from long listening sessions as it sounds so inviting to my ears. So thank you Damien for patiently listening to my many questions and delivering a stunning amplifier. Your knowledge is second to none too.
