Controlled Performance for optimal sound and isolation The Monitor Audio C3L-CP is fitted with a fully-sealed back box for Controlled Performance (CP). Fitting a back box increases the mounting depth so won’t suit all installations but it does optimise the sound quality and help isolate the speaker’s sound from interlinked rooms. The back box is designed to provide the ideal air load, giving a consistent mid-range and bass level, whatever the ceiling construction. It also reduces sound from the rear of the speaker by around 30dB, making it ideal for isolating the sound from the room above.
