The ultra long throw bass cone easily moves large accounts of air for a bass response that effortlessly recreates the most dynamic soundtracks and music. Powered by a 500 watt, Class-D digital amp, high power is always available in an instant.
Highly controlled sound
As well as being powerful, the Silver W12 (6G) is also highly controlled. Using a C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) cone that's rigid yet light gives a responsive bass. The triple suspended driver gives ideal linearity for perfect control - even when the cone is fully extended.
Three pre-set EQ modes
With Music, Movie and Impact modes you can easily change the characteristics of the subwoofer to match your mood. For the most subtle sound, choose Music. A more dynamic sound is had with the Movie mode, making it ideal for the most intense action movies. If you're in party mode or really don't like the neighbours, then switch to Impact for the most powerful sound possible.
High quality finish
Constructed from 25mm MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) and heavily braced, the W12 (6G) is built to resist cabinet vibrations. Finished in a selection of luxury finishes, this is one subwoofer that doesn't need to be hidden out of sight.

This sun finished off my system perfectly. It’s built well, sounds amazing and was easy to set up. Matches well to Monitor Audio silver series. Subtle when needed and huge room filling bass for those atmos films. Thanks again to Kieren at Richer sounds. Great stuff.

Sound is mind blowing, so is build quality/finish
I was reticent to replace my 27-year-old Yamaha sub but the SW12 is a real step up and complements the Monitor Audio Bronze 500 well. The APC worked perfectly for the room setup. The sound reproduction is outstanding and the build quality is impressive. The Power Mode in Auto does not detect the input signal's absence correctly 2 out of 20 times on powerdown sequence. I do not want the power amp to stay on unnecessarily though.To that effect I am building a IR remote control unit to control the power mode via the Trigger Input instead. Also the status LED (EQ) was flashing occasionally during normal operation (though did not affect the audio output at all). Emailed Monitor Audio for comment but regrettably they did not respond. Apart from this minor technical flaw, I am very happy with the sub and very impressed with Monitor Audio products.
