Big screen. Big value
This great value Optoma projector is the ideal way to get big screen entertainment for less. Perfect for movie and sports nights or, thanks to the Gaming Mode, ideal for gaming, too. Vivid brightness makes it ideal for all-day use. The compact size and built-in speaker also make it ideal to pack up and take with you.
3400 ANSI Lumens for ‘lights on’ viewing
A class-leading brightness figure of 3400 lumens makes this projector a practical proposition at any time – day or night. Unlike projectors from the past, you don’t need to dim the lights to get supersized, bright, crisp images.
Stunning colour accuracy
Modelled on the High Definition TV standard, Rec.709, the HD145X delivers the truest possible colour reproduction. With such accurate colour, you can enjoy lifelike images from sports, movies and documentaries.
Optoma's Dynamic Black helps give the HD145X an improved contrast ratio (over the HD143X) of 25,000:1. By smoothly adjusting the lamp output for each frame, the HD145X produces the darkest blacks alongside the brightest whites.
ISF modes for the best picture, day or night
Thanks to ISF preset modes, you can optimise the picture for all lighting conditions. Save your calibrated day and night settings and get quick access to the ideal brightness and contrast levels.
Keystone correction for easier installation
Making the HD145X a cinch to set up is Keystone correction. With the ability to digitally shift the image by +/- 40 degrees in the vertical plain, the HD145X fits locations that are more difficult and enables a wider choice of screen options.
Gaming Mode and 24p
Getting the best from gaming, this projector features a special Gaming Mode. This optimises the projector's settings to give lightning fast response, maximum contrast and vivid colours, making gaming on the big screen even more involving. For movies, the HD145X is also 24P compatible. This means that it replays films shot at 24 frames per second at the correct speed, without glitching - just like at the cinema.
For an even more immersive picture, the HD145X is ready for 3D. Just add optional, compatible Optima 3D glasses, connect up to a compatible source and enjoy 3D images that are every bit as bold as at the cinema.
USB power – plug in Smart TV
Thanks to the built-in USB power outlet you can power your source device. Ideal for powering Smart TV dongles, such as the Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku or NOW TV, the HD145X makes adding Smart TV cheap and easy.
Dim the lights, or don’t, for big screen entertainment at home, with the Optoma HD145X.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WP pro from Very clear picture with the lights on full The projector was bought to be able to show presentations and show more visuals at our monthly meetings. The clarity of the projection was very good, and although I had heard fans can be noisy on projectors, I could not hear it at all. The set up instructions could be slightly clearer, and in the advertising the remote control is for setting up, and not for presentation. We believe this will be of real benefit at our meetings.

Extremely happy with purchase and 6 years guarantee which is great. Picture quality is very good, even can watch in day light with closed curtains. Got 40 pounds off which is good deal for me. Thanks to richersounds, great team.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jm011z from Brilliant for watching 3D Blue ray films Pity Richer Sounds don't sell the 3D glasses to use the projectors full potential, easily set up and connected to a Sony receiver amp for cinema sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CA6800319644 JamesBuckle from Great projector, very happy. Bought to replace my Optoma HD700x which started blowing lamps weekly. Night and day difference in performance, the colours are better with better gradients. The darks are darker and I can watch it in the day time without closing all the curtains. Slightly quieter but still could do with a hushbox for quiet movies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lbt_ from Good image and colours. Not too noisy. Happy :) I bought this and the Epson EH-TW740 to choose between. I chose the Optoma. It's my first DLP and there is a hint of rainbowing when your eyes flick around the screen or sometimes with some images. It's not annoying and doesn't detract (for us). The next reasonable LCD seems to be almost double the price and it simply isn't that big a deal. The main reason I got this over the Epson was the zoom - the Epson has none and that makes setting up an image impossible. However a secondary factor is the noise. If the Epson had been the same or better image quality and even with the slight rainbowing I would still have picked the Optoma. It's simply much, much quieter. You can hear it but it doesn't affect viewing and the Epson was just too loud. The Optoma isn't perfect - it has no optical keystone so you need to mount it on-axis and pretty much level with the base of your screen. Reasonably easy for a ceiling mount installation. There's a touch of light leak from the side too but it's totally out of the viewing area. But it is a budget projector so that's completely reasonable. I mainly watch in a room with the curtains closed. The image has good contrast and scenes that were almost black on my aging Sanyo are now just nicely dark and moody ... and you can see what's going on ! The Cinema setting offers natural colour in a darker room and provides a really watchable image. Oh and unlike the Epson the remote is brightly back-lit - a nice touch at this price level.
