Portable radio that’s rich in character and sound Celebrating Philips’ centenary in audio, the Philips The Janet has a smooth, retro-inspired style, with heritage badging. The room-friendly styling is matched by warm and richly-balanced sound. Although traditional in style, The Janet is thoroughly modern in features. With a DAB+/FM tuner, Bluetooth streaming, dual alarms and a built-in rechargeable battery, it has everything needed to keep you entertained.
Tune in to all the radio you need Featuring a DAB+ tuner, you get to hear all your favourite digital stations in crystal-clear clarity. DAB also introduces a wide range of stations that aren’t available on FM, such as the ever-popular BBC 6 Music, 5 Sports Extra, 4 Extra and many more. For local stations or areas with poor DAB reception, there’s also an FM tuner built in. With 20 DAB+ and 20 FM presets to hand, you can easily recall all your favourite stations.
Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity Thanks to its built-in Bluetooth receiver, The Janet can also be used as a wireless speaker with your smartphone, tablet or laptop device. Simply pair the device and playback the audio – cable-free.
Truly portable Complete with a built-in rechargeable battery, The Janet delivers up to 15 hours playback time, any place, any time. Charging is via USB-C and takes around 3.5 hours to complete.
Keep on track with onboard timer functions Equipped with a range of timer functions, The Janet is ideal for the kitchen, bedroom, home office or anywhere else where you need to keep a track on time. A sleep timer controls how long the radio plays for and dual alarms wake you via DAB/FM radio or a buzzer.
Smooth, mellow sound With its 5 watt amplifier and full range speaker system, The Janet delivers a smooth and richly-balanced sound that’s a big step up from your smartphone’s speaker. If you’d rather listen in private, there’s also a 3.5mm headphone output.
