Using carefully chosen components and innovative design, the CD-C603 hasn’t forgotten about sound quality, either. Highlights include a Laser Pickup Floating Mechanism, which isolates the laser pickup from harmful vibrations and Yamaha’s Intelligent Digital Servo, which monitors speed, signal and tracking and adjusts for the most accurate response possible.
Pure Direct for the most natural response
Pure Direct is a feature that will be familiar to Yamaha AVR and amplifier owners. Switching it on shuts down the digital output and turns off the display, greatly reducing the electrical ‘noise’ inside the player. Less noise means more detail, giving you a purer, more lifelike sound.
Play music files from USB
This Yamaha CD also makes the ideal player for your digital music files. Thanks to its easily accessible USB port on the front panel, simply transfer digital music files to a USB memory device, then plug and play.
Hi-Res music via USB
The USB port accepts a wide range of music files, including Hi-res music. Compatible with MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and FLAC files, this Yamaha CD player is a versatile player. Easy setup, great sound.
I picked this up from the guys at the Tunbridge Wells shop this morning. We ordered it three weeks ago as it wasn't in stock.
It replaces a 33 year old Pioneer CD changer that had come to the end of its life.
The sound from the Yamaha is very good, lots more detail than the old one. It's connected to the CD input on my Denon AVR which blasts out through wife friendly B&W M1s..As always great service from RS.
