To make the most of Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, Auro 3D or even more conventional home cinema, you ideally need sound from above. With the Alteco C1 you get just that. Choose between wall mounting them high up, with the sloping baffle directing the sound downwards, or place them on top of your regular speakers, with the sound firing upwards. Either way, once set up, you get to enjoy the truly expansive sound of home cinema, without the need to cut speakers into your ceiling!
Dual sound mode
Should you change your room layout or move house and decide you want to reposition the speakers, DALI provide an instant solution. With a simple switch you can choose between ‘Up’ and ‘Down’, depending upon where the speakers are placed.

Simply awesome fantastic sound quality
I am in the process of upgrading my system from a B&W 5.1 to a 7.1.2 system I have added the speakers to my system for my front presence and rear surround Although the speakers are not run in yet the sound awesome so far the sound depth and clarity are outstanding looking forward to expanding my system with more amazing speakers from this manufacturer.

Great advice on home cinema upgrade
For over a decade I've always upgraded my home cinema gear through Richer Sounds, Glasgow. This time was no different. Just after Christmas I went to Richer Sounds to look at my next step up in av gear. As usual I got great advice and service from the assistant, this time it was Steven. My visit this time was to upgrade my Sony AV amp and Mordaunt speakers, previously bought here. After about an hour discussing various options I opted to buy a Denon av amp and Dali Oberon speaker package along with upgraded speaker cables. Although my Sony system was very good the difference with the Denon amp is fantastic. The channel seperation is great and surround sound effects are pretty awesome. Recently I've been watching UHD movies with Dolby Atmos sound but not using Atmos speakers. So, yesterday I bought the Dali Alteco C1 speakers. They still need to be run in with their cables but so far the sound stage is awesome. I highly recommend Denon av amp, Dali Oberon speakers, Chord RumourX cables and of course Richer Sounds.

Finally bought a paid of Atmos speakers...
...due to moving, I can't get my original 7.1 up-and-running (yet!) - so finally splurged on a pair of upfiring Atmos speakers (pro/cons aside). Sound good so far, although not run in nor properly tuned in the room. Have added a little extra zing with sources that give Atmos, and am already figuring out how to wall mount them, buy another pair, and a higher-channel AVR to go with them!

I bought these for Dolby Atmos use a couple of weeks ago and placed them on top of a pair of Spektor 6 floor standers. Whilst it marginally improved the sound stage they're definitely in their element placed high on the wall projecting the sound down. Remember to change settings to downward firing. What a huge and all enveloping change, watching Dune on 4K had me flinching on every action scene!! The sound is crystal clear with excellent all round tone. I was dubious about placing them high but now I really am a convert, absolutely fantastic!! Go on you want to don't you? Promise you, you won't be disappointed!! Rear heights
Used my Dali Alteco c1s as rear heights, had rear backs before. Wow what a difference, much more immersive, had Monitor Audio Bronze Dipoles before, replacing these with the Altecos as Atmos rear heights had made a lot of difference.

Worth every penny
I bought these to replace my upward firing atmos speakers, and I’m so pleased I did. After hearing the alteco c-1’s I realised I’ve been missing out on height effects while watching movies. Using these as heights has made a big difference to my home cinema experience. The only negative for me is the speaker cable terminal, they don’t allow for a thicker cable or banana plugs.

Perfect for atmos setup
Bought as part of new home theatre setup for Marantz NR1711. These work very well with the dali centre speaker and oberon 1s and EF9 s woofer et al. No issues. The whole system sounds great, a major step up from old 2.1 onkyo system.
