Dual Flare port for smooth, powerful bass
MK2 Opticon models feature a revised, Dual Flare port. Redesigning the port has delivered an optimised bass response, without creating undue turbulence that can distort the sound. The result is a richer bass at all volume levels.
Made in Denmark. Assembled in pairs
Rather than 'buying in' cabinets, DALI produces the Opticon cabinets in-house. This means they can be sure of the quality and consistency of build. The solid cabinets are designed for low levels of resonance giving low distortion and help to promote a natural sound. Assembled in pairs, the manufacturing process ensures the speakers are as closely matched as possible – meaning you get evenly balanced sound and the best visual match.

Dali Opticon1 Mk2 Satin White
Needed new speakers but what to have popped into the Leicester branch and as usual was met and given great advice. Now the proud owner of Dali opticon1 mk 2 speaker's. Well pleased they are brilliant .

Amazing, unbelievable sound for the size!
Bought a few weeks ago, along with a Cambridge CXA81 amp and REL 7/X subwoofer.
Needed small speakers that could tuck right into the top corner of a big room, 10m apart - so spent a lot of time researching what might work. Decided to pair with a REL subwoofer to cover the lower dynamic range that smaller speakers wouldn’t get to.
The setup has worked perfectly - the Dali’s seem to perform best tucked right up against the wall and in the corner. The treble and mid is superb and the bass they produce on their own is unbelievable! The CXA 81 is quite a powerful amp to go with them, but that works well to produce enough punch to fill the room, and there is no problem with them being 10m apart.
Does need the REL to really fill the bass in the room, and creates the illusion that these tiny speakers are producing the bass.

Superb
Needed a pair of speakers for a small, awkwardly shaped room and was recommended these by staff at RS Chelsea. Very very pleased with them. Unbelievably good sound despite being sited in a tight space, close to back and side walls. They look slick too.

Amazingly clear and enjoyable
These should absolutely be on your demo list if considering speakers anywhere near this price point.
They blew away the competition for me, and even beat an "open box" pair of KEFs in terms of enjoyability, which normally sell for £1000 (or maybe I just wasn't ready for the KEF sound ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
They are small and really forgiving of placement, which was important for me here living in the real world, and also are attractive enough to easily pass approval of my partner (I got them in white).
Compared to many speakers, they may seem to be lacking bass, but for me they are simply well balanced and maybe need to be closer to the wall than I was used to... Judge for yourself!
I would have liked to compare to the larger opticon 2...
