Dual Flare port for smooth, powerful bass
MK2 Opticon models feature a revised, Dual Flare port. Redesigning the port has delivered an optimised bass response, without creating undue turbulence that can distort the sound. The result is a richer bass at all volume levels.
Made in Denmark. Assembled in pairs
Rather than 'buying in' cabinets, DALI produces the Opticon cabinets in-house. This means they can be sure of the quality and consistency of build. The solid cabinets are designed for low levels of resonance giving low distortion and help to promote a natural sound. Assembled in pairs, the manufacturing process ensures the speakers are as closely matched as possible – meaning you get evenly balanced sound and the best visual match.

Knowledgeable and approachable
I went in for some replacement speakers and cables. Within a short time I was sorted out and while my cables were being terminated, I asked about headphone amps. Spent some time talking around this with a staff member and so, yes, I will be buying that later in the week too. Zero upselling, just honest, open conversation about requirements, recommendations and lead times. Thank you very much.

Unobtrusive...
Yesterday I popped in with my son to get him a replacement amp... these were an impulse buy!
The guys in store were more than happy to do an adhoc on the spot demo of a few pairs.
The sound from these was a winner!
Please bare in mind, these speakers need about 100 hours "running in"... out of the box they will not provide you with the same sound you hear in store... patience, it will be worth it in the end!

Clear sound for small scale music
Even though the perceived sound is a function of source, amplifier, speakers and room acoustics, playing small scale music such as chamber music, guitar solo or some jazz works well. Very clear and crisp sound. Trying out larger orchestral works with larger dynamic range sounded muffled; but then it would not be fair to expect that kind of music to be rendered well on small speakers.

Great little speakers
I went to Richersounds in Norwich two weeks ago and got these speakers plus also two audio lab components.
I wanted smaller speakers to go in my bedroom because they’re not ideally for big speakers.
I was greatly impressed with the sound and look at the speakers And they fit well in my Bedroom.
Fully recommend the speakers for small to medium size rooms.

Dali Opticon 1 Mk II
Wonderful small room set up. Sounds great and will probably get better after some running in. Invaluable advice from the store manager to connect with the Chord Company Epic X cables. Added to my POWERNODE gave me a clutter free set-up. The infrared learning in the POWERNODE meant I could program a spare remote for volume, presets and track skipping. Very happy with my purchases from the Glasgow Branch.

Fantastic little speakers
Loving these little bookshelf’s, look great sound even better. Might add a sub to help them along at some point but flawless detail and speakers disappear

Big Sound From A little Package
I went to the store feeling very interested in a different set of speakers which I duyl listened to, however Karl said if you like those then in my opinion you have to listen to the Dali Opticons, Karl swiftly set them up and off we went repeating the music list I had previously listened to.
Wow! the Dali speakers revealed so much more detail, with far clearer separation of different instruments and sounds that the previous speakers hadn't revealed at all.
Just to be sure i spent about 45 mins swapping between the two sets of speakers but it was fairly clear early on that it would be the Opticons that I was going to purchase.
