Featuring an Axign Class D amplifier, equipped with a MOS FET output stage, the Muse Y-40 delivers ample power for most rooms and partnering speakers - 75 watts per channel with 8 ohm speakers, doubling to an impressive 150 watts per channel with 4 ohm speakers. Unless you have a particularly large room or power-hungry speakers, the Muse Y-40 has ample grunt for room-filling sound.
Faithful sound
For natural and lifelike sound, the Muse Y-40 prioritises a neutral sound balance. The full digital circuit includes a premium quality DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter), ensuring the most accurate and low loss sound possible. Despite its compact size, the amp’s fan-less cooling ensures there’s no distracting noise, even after extended listening.

No matter how you choose to stream music, the Muse Y-40 is ready to serve. Built-in wi-fi ensures easy streaming via Apple (AirPlay 2) and Android/Google (Google Cast) devices. This premium Onkyo amp is also compatible with Roon, making it easy to integrate into a Hi-Res multiroom system. For quick and easy wireless playback, there’s also Bluetooth connectivity.

Equipped with an HDMI ARC socket, the Muse Y-40 makes the ideal system for unleashing your TV’s sonic potential. As the socket features an Audio Return Channel (ARC), it’s perfect for channelling the TV’s sound through the system, while also keeping full control via your existing TV’s remote. For AV sources, such as a games console, Blu-ray player and TV set-top box, there are digital coaxial and optical inputs.
Connects with all your music – from PC to vinyl
With its built-in MM (Moving Magnet) phono pre-amp, you can connect most turntables, without needing an additional box. For other music sources, such as a CD player, there are three line level inputs. At the front of the amp you’ll find a USB-A socket – ideal for connecting a USB media device and playing back stored audio files.
