QED XT40i
Speaker Cable Per Metre
£11
(per metre)
”At this price, you’ll struggle to get your system sounding cleaner.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
An award-winner, improved
Building on the award-winning original, the XT40i adds new tech to make the best, better still. The new Air Gap dielectric improves the sound’s precision, while improved X-Tube technology enhances the stereo imagining and realism.
Air Gap dielectric
For the improved XT40i, QED has increased the separation between conductors, creating a low-loss Air Gap dielectric. This improves the dissipation and capacitance characteristics, resulting in many sonic improvements. In terms of carrying a rhythm and timing, the XT40i is better than ever.
X-tube technology
Conventional cables can fail to conduct high frequencies uniformly across the entire conductor area. QED's X-Tube cable technology allows a near-linear signal transfer at treble frequencies for greater detail and realism of sound - especially at higher frequencies.
Very low resistance – ideal for longer runs
A further benefit with the QED XT40i cable is the large 4mm squared cross sectional cable area. Combined with the use of 99.999% oxygen-free copper cable, there's very low resistance, which makes it easier for your amplifier to drive your speakers, no matter what its power rating. It also makes the cable suitable for longer cable runs, with less signal loss over longer lengths.
Whatever you taste in music, hear it at its best, with the QED XT40i.

It really does make a difference!
I have to say that I have always been sceptical about claims that things like cables can affect the sound of a system. However, after taking the plunge and investing in new speaker cables, I have been surprised at the improvement. Listening to Nabuma Rubberband by Little Dragon, I am hearing things I have never noticed before.

What a difference
I brought these by recommendation and so glad I did. My system is a marantz amp and monitor audio bx2 speakers, with a ifi zen DAC. The new leads have brought a lot more clarity and flawless performance. Highly recommended.

Fab sound
Bought this a couple of weeks ago and connecting it to my equipment was easy. It produces great sound from my Cambridge Amp and B&W Speakers. On a different note the staff member at the Milton Keynes store was excellent, providing me with my immediate needs ie the power cable for my Cambridge Amp

Made a big improvement!
I recently bought a second hand Arcam FMJ 32 amp and second hand ProAc 125. They sounded good but not amazing, like I was hoping for. So I thought better replace the Amazon basic cables, turns out although they were thick, they are aluminium coated with copper. Replacing them with QED xt 40i made a big difference. Mid to highs now clearer with separation, loads of depth of sound. Bass sounds even better cleaner just a nicer more musical sound. I was hoping there would be a difference, pleasently supprised at how much improvement they made.
