The Anthem MCA 525 GEN 2 is a 5-channel amplifier that’s ideal for high-end home cinema. Use with an AV processor and power all your speakers in a basic five-channel system (front, rear and centre), or use it to power effect speakers in a more complex system. The MCA 525 GEN 2 grows with your system.
The perfect match for the AVM-70 and AVM-90 AV Processors
Developed with Anthem’s AVM-70 and AVM-90 processors, this is the ideal power amplification to match. Connect via pro-quality XLR Balanced and enjoy powerful, harmonious surround sound. As you’d expect, the MCA 525 GEN 2 also matches the AV processors’ style, with the eye-catching gloss/matte front panel that’s so distinctive to this Anthem range.
Scalable for limitless possibilities
Today’s premium AV systems can easily feature as many as 15 speakers and four subwoofers. This is the ideal combination for a Dolby Atmos 9.4.6 system with nine surround sound speakers, four subwoofers and six ceiling speakers. Use Anthem 325 GEN2 (3-channel) and 525 GEN 2 amplifiers to build exactly the right number of channels for your AV system.
Toroidal transformers for massive power
With massive Toroidal transformers at its heart, cooled by over-sized, aluminium heatsinks and feeding high-current output transistors, the MCA 525 GEN 2 has all the power you need. With no less than 225 watts per channel (at 8 ohms), there’s ample to drive your speakers to multiplex levels, in larger home cinema rooms. That effortless power also gives crisp dynamics – the type of sound that keeps you on the edge of your seat during tense movie scenes.

More than just powerful, the MCA 525 GEN 2 has clarity and resolution covered, too. Advanced power supply regulators, high quality filter capacitors and precision construction all help give this amp a superb signal-to-noise ratio of 120dB. This means you get near none existent background noise, letting you hear every subtle nuance of sound. If a pin drops on the soundtrack, you’ll hear it.
Better-protected
Anthem’s ALM (Advanced Load Monitoring) monitors the receiver’s temperature, current and voltage output – protecting the circuits when needed. Unlike other protection systems, ALM is non-evasive, meaning it operates outside of the signal path and, therefore, doesn’t affect the sound quality.
