A step up in sound quality
Featuring an elliptical stylus, the Audio Technica AT-VM95E is a great upgrade over standard cartridges. Compared to more basic conical cartridges, the elliptical stylus on the VM95E literally gets deeper into the groove – pulling out more music. Top end frequency response is improved, giving more detail and a more natural and spacious sound. By increasing the surface area contact and spreading the load, the stylus’ finer profile also does less damage to your precious vinyl collection. The 4.0mV output is widely compatible with most MM phono pre-amps, making this cartridge ideal for any turntable and amp combo.
Upgradable stylus
When the stylus is due for replacement or as an upgrade at any time, there are three stylus upgrades available. Ranging from the impressive VMN95EN right up to the top quality VMN95SH with Shibata stylus, there’s plenty of upgrade potential to be had. (Upgrade styli models, AT-VMN95EN, AT-VMN95ML, AT-VMN95SH and AT-VMN95SP (78-rpm) all available via special order).
Optional 78rpm stylus
If you swap between 78 and 33/45 records, then why not get a dedicated 78rpm stylus. Designed to fit 78s’ groves more accurately, the VMN95SP stylus simply clicks into place and is a moment’s job to switch over.
Upgrade to DJ quality stylus
This flexible cartridge even accepts Audio Technica’s semi-pro stylus range. Ideal for DJ use, the ATN-XP7, XP5 and XP3 (all available via special order) are all ideal for DJ use. Simply click them into place and you’ll have a cartridge capable of withstanding the rigours of high tracking force weights and back-cueing.
