What this means for sound is the most detailed, crystal clear sound and totally life-like realism.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Chord qutest My system consists of a maranta cd6007, roksan blak and Dali rubicon 6. Some cds sounded great and others ordinary, but when Bluetoothing my iPod to the roksan the sound was much better. The weak link seemed to be the CD player. Toyed with the idea of upgrading the player, but how much to spend? Read great reviews of the qutest so decided to take the plunge and without an audition. Went into Chester branch and was served by Adam who was very helpful and explained that whilst not in stock, next day delivery could be arranged, I took the plunge! The qutest arrived before 10am. Easy to set up, well made but most importantly it has transformed my CD player, the sounds are superb, I hear things in tracks not heard before, everything is so much better, the system now excels its price. Highly recommended and will get another one for my other system, service from Richer sounds excellent as usual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pdixo from Serious competition for my vinyl rig! Chord Qutest has helped put my digital music right up there on par with my vinyl player. Qutest seems to take the digital edge off - vocals especially - but brings out all the detail and the life and soul of the music. Every digital source I've tried seems to be notably improved and refined when put through the Qutest. I have heard even better digital sound but that's out of my budget! Every time I listen to music through the Qutest at home it seems like money very well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by markweeks11 from Perfect Sound, Contentment fully acheived I bought this a couple of weeks ago, i was advised by Damien at Richer Sounds Brighton that this will greatly enhance the sound with such clarity and precision that i will not believe the difference in upgrade. He was not wrong.! Amazing sound, justifying my wonderful Arcam amplifiers and my Meadowlark hot rod speakers. The detail is incredible, i am hearing things in tracks that i never knew existed.!.Marvellous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by James0James from Definitely worth the money Had this now for a week or two and it impressed me right out of the box, upgrading from an Arcam irDac, though it was a little weak in bass initially. After conditioning it (playing a massive playlist on Spotify without the amp (Roksan Caspian M2) on) for several days the improvement was incredible. Clarity, tone and separation of instruments with real attack and energy. I know I'm not doing it justice with Spotify but it still sounds fantastic. It has definitely lived up to the hype.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MusicforLife from Great upgrade for any digital music System: Chord Qutest, Rega Apollo CD player, Pro-Ject Stream Box S2, Pro-Ject Pre Box S, Pro-Ject Accu Box S2, Mac Mini with Audirvana and AVI DM5 active speakers. Music from Qobuz, CDs and stored on Mac. Music enjoyed from Adrian Legg, The Delines, London Grammar, James Taylor etc. The DAC was an upgrade for my whole system as all digital sources now use it and I have heared improvements from all inputs even the Apollo. There is a better seperation of instruments in a wider and deeper sound stage. Backing singers are more clearly defined even over-dubs from the primary singer. Base has more deapth and is more tunefull. The center singer on some tracks is more forward and in the room. All of these changes have resulted in a greater sense of definition and coherance in the performance. It is easy to set up and use. It will require 3 types of cable with a USB in the box. There are 4 filter settings which are subtle but do change the sound on different types of music. I now use either the Incisive Neutral or Warm. I would recommend the Qutest if you want to improve your digital music from any source. The online reviews of this DAC were all very good so I bought one. They were right.
