The classic all-rounder
Ideal for small to medium-sized rooms, DALI designed the Opticon 2 MK2 to be as flexible as possible. Able to operate effectively from just 10cm from a rear wall, the Opticon 2 MK2 makes a room friendly choice. Alternatively, if you've got the space, the 2's are just as happy at up to 80cm from the back wall.
Improved drive units for the finest sound
Featuring low-loss, wood fibre SMS woofers that are found in DALI's reference grade speakers and a brand new soft dome tweeter derived from the Callisto range, the Opticon 2 MK2 sounds better than ever. Designed for precision and accuracy of sound, the Opticon lets you hear the music exactly as the artist intended.
Dual Flare port for smooth, powerful bass
MK2 Opticon models feature a revised, Dual Flare port. Redesigning the port has delivered an optimised bass response, without creating undue turbulence that can distort the sound. The result is a richer bass at all volume levels.
Made in Denmark. Assembled in pairs
Rather than 'buying in' cabinets, DALI produces the Opticon cabinets in-house. This means they can be sure of the quality and consistency of build. The solid cabinets are designed for low levels of resonance giving low distortion and help to promote a natural sound. Assembled in pairs, the manufacturing process ensures the speakers are as closely matched as possible – meaning you get evenly balanced sound and the best visual match.

Expensive but worth every penny
We reviewed some of the smaller Dali speakers and to be honest I was a little disappointed. We then listened to the Opticon 2's and the difference was immediate. The Opticons had much more presence with a beautiful warm and detailed tone. Probably more money than I had intended to spend but I am so glad I did!
