Product Information
Designed for high-performance home cinema, with the added attraction of HEOS, the Denon AVC-X3900H is all set to transform your listening experience.
Serious about cinema
Specced to impress, the Denon AVC-X3900H is serious about home cinema sound. Pairing a powerful 105 watt amp with a high-performance 32-bit multichannel DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), the unit has power and finesse in equal measure. A raft of 3D sound formats, plus the option of extending the output to 11channels makes this amp a home cinema enthusiast’s dream. Powered by HEOS, this amp also makes the ideal hub for a top quality multiroom audio system.
Your choice of immersive 3D sound
From Dolby to DTS, Auro to IMAX, the AVC-X3900H has a surround format to suit. Standard formats include Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D and 360 Reality Audio. This huge range of options means that you can adapt your surround sound speaker system from the simplest system with ‘virtual height’ speakers to full-blown 9.4 systems that truly bring the cinema home.
Immersive 9-channel surround sound
Featuring nine powered channels, this Denon gives you a wide choice of speaker configurations. Choose between 7.4.2 or 5.4.4 Dolby Atmos speaker configurations with two or four ceiling speakers. Alternatively, stick with 5.4.2 and power a second pair of speakers in another room or bi-amp your main pair of speakers. As your system grows, so the capability of this Denon grows with it.
Upgrade potential
Add an extra stereo power amp via the 11 channel RCA pre-outputs, and the AVC lets you configure four ceiling or Atmos-enabled speakers as well as full 7-channel surround sound. Alternatively, use two Atmos speakers and enjoy a broad soundstage with 'front wide speakers' forming a 9.4.2 system. If you don't fancy a Dolby Atmos specific system but want the most immersive sound possible, go for an 11.4 configuration. This offers 7.4 sound with the addition of front width and front height speakers.
Quad subs for balanced bass
For the best-balanced bass, the AVC-X3900H has four subwoofer outputs (for active subs). This lets you place a subwoofer in each corner of the room, giving a smooth, even bass response. With four bass channels, you can also use smaller subwoofers. This gives you a tighter, punchier bass whilst not losing out on any bass weight and depth.
Comprehensive HDMI connectivity
With no fewer than six inputs and three outputs, the AVC-X3900H’s HDMI interface copes with even the most sophisticated AV systems. The six, assignable inputs are compatible with 8K/HDCP 2.3 signals. They also support IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 4K/120Hz and 8K upscaling of 4K content, too. Two of the three outputs are 8K compatible, with the third being ideal for a zone 2 4K TV.
Geared for gamers
The comprehensive HDMI interface makes this Denon AV amp the perfect choice for gaming. All HDMI inputs support 4K/120Hz, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), Auto Low Latency Mode and AMD FreeSync, keeping gameplay fluid and responsive.
Music streaming, powered by HEOS
Streaming music via the AVC-X3900H is simple with the free HEOS app. This user-friendly app uses three main tabs that feature at all times - Rooms, Music and Now Playing. You can listen to the same music in every room or different music in different rooms. The app also lets you group HEOS compatible devices such as soundbars and AV devices, for totally connected home audio.
HEOS – a complete ecosystem
The HEOS multiroom ecosystem lets you seamlessly configure up to 64 zones of sound – enough for even the largest mansions. Start with this AV amp and then build up a multiroom system to your exact requirements. With many hi-fi and home cinema amplifiers also featuring HEOS built in, it’s even easier to incorporate your entire home entertainment system into the HEOS family.
Stream your way – AirPlay 2, Roon Ready and Bluetooth
As well as the HEOS app, you can also choose to stream via other platforms. With AirPlay 2, this Denon AV amp makes an excellent choice for Apple users. As a Roon Ready device, the AVC-3900H can also be configured within a multi-brand, multiroom high-resolution Roon system. For quick and easy device pairing, there’s also Bluetooth onboard.
