Vibration absorbing plinth
For the lowest levels of resonant distortion, the DP-3000NE uses a solid plinth with over-sized, height-adjustable insulator feet. The feet not only absorb vibration for a purer sound but also let you level the turntable for the most accurate sound possible.
Direct drive with Space Vector PWM for music perfection
Using a high quality, direct drive mechanism, the DP-3000NE delivers absolute pitch stability and consistent sound. Controlled by Space Vector PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), the motor’s power supply delivers the smoothest signal, further reducing distortion and limiting background noise to the lowest possible levels. The result is an incredibly dynamic and lifelike sound that gives your music a true sense of ‘body’.
Simple speed selection
Electronic speed control makes it simple to switch between playback settings. With settings for 33.3rpm, 45rpm and 78rpm, it’s easy to playback your entire record collection. Thanks to the tonearm’s detachable headshell, switching to a dedicated 78rpm cartridge is easy. Simply unscrew and fit an optional 78rpm cartridge-equipped headshell* whenever you’re listening to your precious shellacs.
*Additional headshell and cartridge are optional at additional cost.

A proper chunky monkey
The largest turntable I've owned and roughly the same weight as a Technics SL-1200G. It's beautifully finished and quite minimalist with only a small white LED to indicate speed selection. Performance is fantastic. Up to speed in a moment and very torquey. The only issue is that the superb feet do not seem to be adjustable. I contacted Denon customer services but in fairness they just talked a load of cobblers. I don't think that anyone would be disappointed in this deck if they were looking for a high performing, chunky but sleek turntable.
