The Emotiva BasX A4 is a 4-channel amp of exceptional value and ability. It’s ideal for adding power for four additional channels to your existing home cinema system – such as four height (Atmos/DTS:X) speakers. It also makes the ideal power amplifier for a high quality multiroom system, powering stereo speakers in two separate zones.
Plenty of power
Using a tried and tested Class A/B amplifier, the Emotiva BasX A4 delivers smooth and consistent sound. With an impressive 100 watts per channel (all channels driven), the BasX A4 has the power to make the most of your home cinema or multiroom speakers. Use in stereo mode and the power increases to an impressive 175 watts per channel into a 4 ohm speaker (remains at 100 watts per channel with 8 ohm speakers).
Purity to match the power
Unlike some, digital only, power amps, the BasX A4 utilises an analogue Class A/B amplifier stage. This preserves the music’s emotion and ‘flow’ in a way that many digital amps struggle to convey. Designed with high current capacity and short signal paths, it promotes a highly dynamic, low distortion sound.
Quality connections
At the back of the BasX A4 you’ll find high quality connections for both inputs and speaker outputs. Heavy duty, insulated and gold-plated speaker sockets accept thicker cables and 4mm banana plugs. Inputs are handled by universally accepted RCA phonos which are, again, gold-plated for low resistance.
Sturdy build quality
The sturdy, steel case features a milled aluminium facia, giving it the visual muscle to match the room-filling sound.

Emotiva BasX A4
Purchased to power 4 overhead Cambridge Audio Minx for Atmos duties as failure of a Stereo power amp led me to rethink setup for home cinema. Having had Emotiva 5 channel amp previously I had no hesitation in purchasing this product. It does all that I require and at a cheaper cost than other alternative products.

Great addition for Atmos speakers
My Emotiva BasX A4 is running 4 ceiling Dali E60 speakers feeding from Arcam AVR20 to complete 7.1.4. Very easy to set up and feels much better quality than it's retail price. Sounds powerful and has a great sound signature. Great amp at a great price, highly recommended.

No the prettiest but a value for money amplifier
I haven't had this long so its still running in. I bought the Emotiva BasX A4 to utilise the 11 channels processing on my wonderful Marantz SR7015. Using the pre outs from the receiver the Emotiva BasX A4 is handling my LCF and the voice of God speaker. Immediately a noticeable improvement in scale. The room is now filled with sounds some which weren't there before. Movies with Dolby Atmos & Auro 3D come alive. Your immersed in the action. Sounds so clear they make me jump which is something I've not experienced before. Listening to CD or streams running just the 2 channel in stereo mode It adds another level to the Marantz. To be fair the Marantz was excellent in stereo with the Emotiva giving it the boost I hoped it would.
I did a lot of research before going for the Emotiva and with limited space I had I was lucky to have this recommended by so many. Its heavy and Its not the prettiest. Black is the only option but the money has gone were it counts. It runs very cool which is good. So far worth the money and hopefully as it gets some miles under its belt it might just improve slightly enough to get the full 5 stars. I'll update this as I go along.
