Hi-Fi Racks Omnium8 3 Tier (Oak)
Hi-Fi Rack
£689
”The Hi-Fi Racks Omnium8 is a fine equipment rack and well worth searching out.”– ‘What Hi-Fi’ – 5 Star review.
Omnium flexibility
Flexibility is key with this stylish rack. Eschewing a one-size-fits-all approach, the Omnium8 offers a massive range of custom options. As well as the colour, number of shelves and shelf height you can also choose between bolted or spiked leg options and round or square legs. Cable management and isolation options are also available.
First, choose your finish
Whether you fancy something sleek and glossy or more traditional, the Omnium offers no fewer than eight different finishes. Oak, Cherry Stain, Mahogany Stain and Walnut Stain blend with a wide variety of wooden furniture. For a more contemporary style, choose between Satin Black, Satin White, Black Gloss and White Gloss.
Next, decide on your shelf configuration
You can choose any number of shelves between one and nine, making the Omnium ideal for any job between power amp support and full multi-amp, multi-source system rack. Once you’ve decided how many shelves you want, you can also decide the height of each individual shelf – from 50mm to 400mm.
Shelf connection
Another great feature with this modular shelf is that you decide how the shelves are attached. Choose between bolted or spiked fittings (for shelf heights 300mm and above, bolting is recommended).
Square or round legs
Once you’ve decided on your shelf configuration then it’s on to the legs! There are six options available with 31mm round or 32mm square, bolted legs offered as standard. For an extra fee, you can select between 45mm round, 46mm square, spiked or bolted legs.
Isolation
For the most effective isolation, separate isolation shelves can be fitted to each shelf. We’d usually recommend this for a turntable at the top, but all other components can benefit from this, too. At the base of the rack, black spikes are supplied, with optional isolation cups available to protect hard floor surfaces.
Optional cable management
For no extra cost you also get the choice of cable management. This uses cutouts in the shelves, neatly guiding power and connection cables down the centre of the rack – giving a tidier appearance.
With near limitless configurations, it’s rare to find two Omnium8 racks the same. Whichever options you chose, though, 5-star sound quality is guaranteed.

Hi-Fi Racks OMNIUM8 - excellent investment
Purchased the 3 shelf version which houses a record player on top, cd player next and an amp at the bottom - dead easy to assemble and its a solid as a rock when built. Needed shelves that can carry some serious weight as my amp is pushing 30kg so this was the one to go for. I initially tried it without the spikes fitted which resulted in the cd player skipping every now and again but that was with the volume very high (the rack is sat on a solid wood floor in between a pair of B&W 804 D3's). I wouldnt normally listen at that volume but I did it as a test. Fitted the spikes (which sit on the provided cups as to not damage the floor) and the problem went away so if you listen to your music loud they are definitely needed. The hole at the back of each shelf helps with keeping the cables tidy. Its expensive but as with the majority of hi-fi equipment if you spend on something good once you probably wont have to spend again. Added bonus is that if you want to add on shelves you can afterwards.
