Support for MM and MC cartridges
Delivering near universal cartridge support, the iFi Audio ZEN Air Phono 2 is compatible with both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridges. MC cartridges are usually much lower in output power than MM and therefore require additional amplification. Thanks to its dedicated MC gain mode, the ZEN Air Phono boosts the signal from these sophisticated cartridges with ease.
Ultra-precise, ultra-low noise
The ZEN Air Phono has RIAA equalisation that is accurate to within +/- 0.15dB tolerance from 20 – 20,000Hz. This ensures absolute accuracy when replaying your vinyl. Careful engineering and quality components ensure an ultra-low noise floor, with much lower background noise than many built-in phonostages. A quieter background means that you get to hear subtle details that might otherwise be missed.
Intelligent subsonic filter
Subsonic filters reduce rumble and are especially handy when playing warped records. The downside with subsonic filters is they often also harm the sound by creating phase issues. The unique intelligent subsonic filter used by iFi gets around these phase issues, creating a more natural sound while maintaining the speaker protection offered by regular subsonic filters.
