Product Information
Designed for the purest sound, the Marantz Model 30 delivers in style.
Master-tuned for reference sound quality
Painstakingly developed over three years, the Model 30 took hundreds of hours of Marantz’s finest technicians to produce this labour of love. The Model 30 is a fully discrete design, meaning it uses dozens of carefully selected components and separate circuits for the pre, power, phono and headphone sections – rather than combining them together. With Marantz’s own HDAM modules fitted, the sound is tuned with absolute precision.
Sonic precision – with HDAM
This premium Marantz amp uses Marantz's own HDAM-SA3 (Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Module) circuits. These bespoke op-amps use surface-mount metal-film resistors for greater temperature stability. The upshot is a cleaner, less distorted sound that’s delivered with perfect clarity.
The power to move you
The Model 30 isn’t just about exquisite detail and realism. Featuring a lightning-fast SMPS transformer, it delivers an effortless 100 watts per channel (200 watts per channel to a 4 ohm speaker load). Combined with the high spec output capacitors, this gives the Model 30 the sort of dynamic range, depth and sheer power that you’d more usually associate with a separate pre/power amp combo.
Top quality phono preamp – Musical Premier Phono EQ
If you’ve got a turntable, you’re in for a treat with the Model 30’s phono preamp. Designed to get the very best from your vinyl, this phono preamp uses the shortest, simplest signal paths for the cleanest sound. The Marantz Premium Musical Phono EQ uses two-stage amplification for lower distortion. Marantz’s HDAM op-amps also play a part in producing more accurate equalisation for cleaner, more open sound. Unlike lower grade phono preamps, it’s also adjustable to suit your cartridge.
Adjustable to suit your cartridge
Featuring no fewer than four cartridge settings, the Marantz’s phono pre-amp matches up with the vast majority of cartridges. Choose between MM (Moving Magnet), MC (Moving Coil) High, MC Mid and MC Low for the correct match with your turntable’s cartridge. Covering almost every cartridge out there, this amp will see you through years of turntable cartridge upgrades.
All the connectivity you need. None that you don’t
The Model 30 is unashamedly analogue, meaning there are no digital inputs. What you do get are the highest quality components, with the sound to match, and all the analogue sockets you could ask for. As well as the 4-level phono pre-amp, there are five line level RCA phono inputs and a recording output. Pre/power sockets let you upgrade either the pre or power sections in the future.
Premium build quality
Pick up the Model 30 and you can appreciate it’s built to last. Using thick, non-magnetic aluminium panels and a steel top cover, the amp resists both mechanical and electrical interference. The input sockets are machined from brass and the speaker terminals use high-purity nickel-plating for the best quality contact possible.
Treat your music to an amp that does it justice. The Marantz Model 30.
