Slimline style
The Silver 200 7G speakers are all about elegance. Elegance of sound comes from Monitor Audio’s famous C-CAM and RST II technologies, making these speakers sound smooth and refined but also much larger than they appear. At the same time, elegance of design makes these slim and compact speakers perfect for smaller rooms and anywhere a more discreet style is required.
Silver sound – made better
The famous C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter now has a new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. This is designed to give a more natural and lifelike sound, with less distortion. The twin compact bass cones feature distinctive new RST II (Rigid Surface Technology). Inspired by the Japanese art of Origami, the lightweight cones are made more rigid by a refined pattern of surface dimples. It makes the mid-range more open and rhythmic sounding. With a dedicated bass cone, there's always effortless power to hand when the music or movie requires it.

Ultra-low cabinet distortion lets the drive units perform unimpeded, giving you the clearest and most natural sound going. For enhanced stability, outrigger feet are supplied. Use with spikes for carpet or rubber feet for hard floors.

Not what I was looking for - but brilliant anyhow.
I am very pleased with these speakers. I went to Richer Sounds, armed with the best specs and recommendations, based on a lot of research across the internet. And I came away with something totally different! I have great respect for Richer Sounds - they have stood the test of time - experts in what they sell, understand the purchaser, and dont overhype.
These speakers were not what I was looking for, but am glad I made the choice. LIstening to them live, in their demo room, against my preferred speakers, I was blown away at how nice they sounded.
They look good too.
The packaging was sheer simplicity (even if I still dont know what the foam pads are for!). But I love coming into the room and seeing them - waiting for me to put some great sounds on them.

Got more than I expected
After visiting ’other’ retailers and not being impressed with service or the ability to demo we took a trip to Richersounds. We had booked a demo to experience another product to the system we eventually purchased. I can honestly say that whilst we spent more than originally planned we are delighted we did. The team were not pushy in any way, rather more guiding about possibilities. We spent over an hour in the demo room listening to various alternatives until we settled on a Cambridge audio streamer and amp. Then coupled to a pair of monitor audio speakers. Sublime sounds and looks great in black. The team at MK are friendly, knowledgeable and keen to delight customers. Great job!

These speakers are even ‘fully in’ yet but wow!
Dropped into Richer Sounds Bristol looking for a speaker upgrade to make the most of my newly acquired Arcam SA 30. I’ve used the same branch for 30 years now. I know I’ll always get get, enthusiastic and tailored advice on what to buy. The sales guy even streamed the album I wanted to hear to assess the sound. These guys really do care. It never feels it’s about ‘the sale’ but matching the customer’s gear with their requirements. I really wouldn’t go anywhere else for new kit. Bristol Richer Sounds, you are the absolute best.

Look Great, sound great.
I’ve had these for about 2 weeks now. In selecting a new HiFi system the speakers were the most difficult as they had the be approved by my other half for aesthetics and size etc. We chose the Matt black and they are running without the grills but the other half is more than delighted with the looks. The sound is really good and they are a real joy.
