Engineered to class-leading standards, the Pro-Ject Debut Reference 10 is all set for analogue excellence.
A Reference in its class The Debut has always been a standard setter in its class and now the Pro-Ject Debut Reference 10 raises the bar to an entirely new level. With its new 10” carbon-aluminium tonearm it boasts exceptional tracking, while the inert acrylic platter and aluminium sub-platter provide the ideal record interface. Supplied with a balanced cartridge and output, sonic purity is further optimised.
High quality engineering for the best sound Featuring an acrylic platter and aluminium sub-platter the Debut Reference 10 provides the ideal interface for your vinyl and helps provide smooth and stable pitch. The hand-painted MDF plinth is highly rigid, helping to further resist sound degrading vibrations. Diamond cut metal components are used extensively, delivering long-lasting quality and a premium appearance. It’s this precision engineering that gives the Debut Reference 10 such a detailed and highly resolved sound quality, letting you hear every ounce of detail.
10” carbon-aluminium tonearm for exceptional tracking The Debut Reference 10 features Pro-Ject’s technically advanced carbon-aluminium tonearm. This one-piece design is incredibly light and rigid, with the sound benefiting from the properties of both carbon fibre and aluminium. The carbon fibre provides strength, with the aluminium enhancing damping and electrical shielding properties. The result is an exceptional support for the cartridge, letting it retrieve the maximum amount of music from the record’s groove.
Adjust to suit any cartridge The highly configurable tonearm adjusts for azimuth and VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) as well as weight. These settings fine-tune the cartridge position, making it easy to upgrade the cartridge and maximise its potential.
Supplied with Balanced cartridge The Pro-Ject Pick it PRO Balanced is the first cartridge of its type (MM) to feature truly balanced signal transmission, making it the perfect partner for this deck. By not sharing the shielding pin with the ground, you get a cleaner and less distorted sound. Pick up noise and interference is greatly reduced, giving a much quieter backdrop for subtle musical detail to shine through the recording.
The difference is in the balance A balanced connection resists noise from wi-fi, Bluetooth and other airborne interference, giving you a much purer and less distorted sound. The balanced output on the Pro-Ject Debut Reference 10 uses a mini-XLR socket to create a studio-quality link when used with a suitable phono pre-amp (compatible models include Pro-Ject Phono Box S3 B, Phono Box DS3 B and Tube Box DS3 B). For a regular, non-balanced RCA connection, the turntable also has RCA phono outputs and is supplied with the Pro-Ject Connect it Phono E RCA cable.
3-speed capability Built-in electronic speed control lets you effortlessly switch between 33 and 45 speeds. Electronic control keeps the speed as accurate as possible, giving you the truest pitch. For 78rpm records, simply fit the supplied 78rpm belt (a 78rpm stylus is also required – Ortofon 2M 78). For a further upgrade in sound, simply add the optional (at additional cost) Pro-Ject Power Box S3 Phono.
Sound improvements Three, height adjustable, damped feet provide the perfect base for the Debut Reference 10. These not only help level the turntable but, thanks to the integral TPE damping, help isolate the deck from surface vibrations, too. For further enhanced performance, Pro-Ject also includes a Record Puck E. By weighting the record down, resonance and vibration are reduced, helping to improve tracking for a clearer and more precise sound. If the record is slightly warped, the weight has a further advantage in reducing the variation in surface height.
Experience a new level of sonic precision from your vinyl, with the Pro-Ject Debut Reference 10.
