Joyful, exquisite sound
Can't fault the service from Richer Sounds, as ever great choice of products, and fast, secure delivery.
The speakers are a joy to behold, both visually and sonically. Simple set up, with plenty of inputs. I can honestly say the sound produced is on a par with the more expensive, separates set up I had previously. Especially of note is the clarity of speech from the TV.
And the musicality of Vinyl is so layered and truly wonderful. It's been a while since I just sat and let music wash over me, and I've not stopped since receiving these incredible speakers.

Top sound via RCA but harsh treble needs EQ adjust
I bought these a couple of weeks ago from Richer Sounds online. They arrived on time, look great and the build quality is solid. The features are helpful - like swapping left and right with a switch, having optical, RCA and bluetooth options to connect for music.
The bass is really nicely defined, and there is a lot of detail at the higher frequencies, they are really good speakers in a lot of ways. But after listening to these for 30 minutes or more, I started getting fatigue and ear ache from the treble. I bought these to use with a WiiM streamer which has graphic EQ on it. I reduce the high frequencies and boost the lower ones and this gets rid of the harshness. But that doesn't quite seem right to need to do that.
Another issue is the optical connection makes a crackling sound when switching tracks. I don't get how this can be happening on a piece of kit like this. This is when I use the WiiM to stream tracks and whenever one track starts playing there is a crackling sound. It is really annoying esp with near field listening which is what I bought these for. There is an adjustment feature on the WiiM which makes no difference. For some reason, this doesn't happen with the RCA connection. But I would like to use the optical one as the speakers default to this when you turn them off and on again. The remote is a bit flimsy but it does the trick - although it has poor response from acute angles. I mainly use the remote only to switch outputs as I control the speakers' volume via Wiim on my phone.
The speakers do sound great once I account for the harsh treble. I have them on speaker stands. They are not designed for high volume listening - they don't perform well - but at low and mid volumes, they can produce some very nice output across a range of music. I have eclectic taste in music and they perform well for electronic, reggae, rock, metal, acoustic blues, and classical music too.
I wish they didn't make the pop sound and have harsh treble. It means if I want to use them for my TV directly, I get listening fatigue unless I run them through the WiiM so that I can make a treble adjustment.
Another thing to note is that these do not have an onboard DAC. They use some other DSP system. I noticed that music sounds better when connecting the WiiM streamer (pro plus) with RCA rather than optical - it sounds less harsh. And maybe this bypasses the M20 onboard system which the company states on a forum is a Digital Signal Processor, but maybe it doesn’t.
All in all, they are very good if you turn the treble down. I really have to because I like to listen to music for long periods in the day when I am home, reading or whatever. I don’t know if there is a fault with mine re the crackling optical input or if something else is the issue. Go and listen to them in the store to see if they are right for you - if you don’t like harsh treble ‘bright’ speakers, then these may not be for you.

Brilliant Sound & Connectivity
Really impressed with these speakers when demo'ed at the Cheltenham Branch, powerful for their size, ideal for TV via Optical and music via bluetooth or aux. Bought a Q Acoustics B12 Subwoofer as well and the combination is amazing, total price was definitely less than buying traditional amp separates.

Amazing sound and build quality
Bought these speakers from the Nottingham branch this week - blown away by the sound and fantastic build quality! Was searching for some speakers to play streamed audio and connect to a turntable, browsing online I'd discounted these largely on aesthetics. Super responsive via email, arranged to go in store and was advised by Ian. He recommended these Q Acoustics paired with a Project Audio turntable. Had a quick listen to Rumours in store and was impressed, and was really impressed with how solid and well built the speakers were. Ordered these, the turntable and a preamp for next morning home delivery. Firstly connected them up to Spotify via Bluetooth and was wowed by the really rich sound, better than anything I've ever owned - what a joy to let the music wash over you in it's full glory! Really balanced sound, nice bass but not overpowering, crisp, clear, seemed to pick up every detail of the recording. Later set up the turntable and so far had a quick play of a Caribou album that my borrowed record player screeched through... on these beauties it sounded amazing, absolutely stunning sound. Really please with these already and thanks to Ian for the great advice.

Q Acoustics M20 walnut What a great speaker.
I just wanted speakers that would have a great sound after years of using Alexa devices to listen to music. I was recently at a friends house who had a quality hi-fi system And I had forgotten what it was like to listen to music that sounded rich. I did not have an unlimited budget, and after a fair bit of research, I opted for the M20 and I have to say I’m not disappointed. They have a lovely sound with beautiful tones and the Speaker delivers great base. However, I have brought a subwoofer that has not arrived because of stock.
I wanted that classic look so I have gone for Walnut and they look great.
I am understand that when they are connected through Bluetooth, the sound is not as good as of a devices, but in saying that at this moment in time, I have only use them as a Bluetooth speaker and they do not disappoint at all. They are reasonably loud, but I have not brought them so I can listen to the music Shaking the house down I just wanted some rich Sounds. The service I have received from RicherSound Has been excellent. I ordered them on a Friday afternoon late was told they would be here on the Monday next working day, but I actually received them the following morning. I would highly recommend

Sound quality and set up
Ordered these speakers by phone via the Chester store on Sunday. Delivered at 7.30 am Tuesday morning. No complaints there. They were intended to be used connected to my desktop computer to replace a Nad C370 amplifier with Wharfedale Pacific Evo 10 speakers that I previously used and have to say the quality for the price is excellent. It coped admirably with Pink Floyds comfortably Numb at high volume with speakers close to the wall. The quiet vocals of Simon and Garfunkel were clear enough and Crockett's theme from Jan Hammer really showed it's smooth all round handling of bass and treble.
Setting up the speakers was easy. However, connecting via usb to my computer caused some problems. When first connected the speakers were not recognised. On reading the manual it said output would be via spdif but no sign of that on my computer sound settings. To check the speakers were working I connected them via the line out from my pc to phono jacks on the speakers and that worked. Sound actually not that bad. So it was back to USB and after plugging in to other USB sockets at the rear of my pc still no luck. Until I used the front panel USB and straight away it loaded drivers and worked. So a little conflict going on somewhere but solved.Sound quality is better with USB as opposed to line out, as expected, but what it does show is that an external source connected to the phono jacks produces a good sound.
My only minor gripe with the speakers is that there is no indication of volume.Just pressing the volume control obviously raises the volume but it would be nice to see how far you've gone.
Base and treble cannot be changed on the speakers. But should you wish to make adjustments to fine tune the sound output, this can be done via the music player on your pc. I use the AIMP music player and this has it's own equaliser built in with a set of pre set plug ins. Or you can adjust bass and treble individually. Even adjust the volume. It's a superb player that works well with these speakers.
So all in all, I can highly recommend these speakers as desktop speakers for a pc and would certainly work well as a simple first Hi Fi .
