The premium S5 rack uses double shelves, decoupled via steel cones for the highest levels of isolation. This lets your hi-fi separates perform to their optimum level, untroubled by vibrations from other components either on the rack or from within the room. Fully isolating the shelves reduces distortion and lets you hear finer, more subtle musical detail.
Dampened support columns for reduced distortion
The SolidSteel S5-3 hi-fi rack uses aluminium poles, filled with a dampening material to help further cancel out vibrations from both your hi-fi components and other potentially sonic-degrading sources in the room, such as a fish tank pump or light dimmer.
Three shelves
With three individual shelves, the S5-3 is perfect for a simple system with amp and two sources. Keeping your components on separate shelves isolates them from one another, meaning that vibrations from an amplifier, for example, don’t compromise the delicate mechanics of a turntable or electronics and transport of a CD player.
