The finest sound
For the highest resolution and lowest distortion, the R-N1000A benefits from Yamaha’s premium ToP-ART construction. The already low-resonance chassis features a double-layer base for even greater damping – ensuring the finest musical detail isn’t lost to vibration. Upgraded components include a custom transformer and capacitors, for the smoothest and most stable power supply and single-point grounding, to best optimise the audio signal’s clarity. A Pure Direct switch bypasses the tone and balance controls for an even more detailed, true-to-life sound quality.
Tuned in to your room
Pioneered on its AV receivers, Yamaha’s YPAO (Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimiser) tunes the sound to suit your room. The system measures the shape of your room, wall material and speaker position and then automatically adjusts the sound to maximise the acoustics. RSC (Reflect Sound Control) is also included. This minimises the sonically harmful effect of early-reflected sound. The result of this powerful tech is the best sound possible, whatever your room’s acoustics.

Support for DSD 11.2MHz native playback and up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM files means that you get to hear your premium quality music files at the highest quality possible.
Connect everything from your TV to turntable
Featuring an HDMI ARC socket, the R-N1000A is ideal for connecting your TV and enjoying the sound in pristine stereo. Listen to your vinyl collection by connecting your turntable to the MM (Moving Magnet) input. A games console and CD player with digital output, and more, can be connected via the three digital inputs (two optical and one coaxial). For any other sources that you might have, there are three line-level inputs and two outputs for recording.
Stream the best music services
Compatible with Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, Napster, Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz, the R-N1000A is fully equipped for your favourite music streaming service. With Tidal and Qobuz already offering higher resolution playback, it’s now possible to find a streaming service that at least matches the quality of CD and, in some cases, even improves upon it.

The Yamaha R-N1000A is part of Yamaha's hugely impressive network audio system, MusicCast. With MusicCast you control all your compatible Yamaha MusicCast products via your smartphone or even Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant by voice*. Play the same music on all the components or split the sound into different zones for different moods in each room; the choice is yours. Advanced networking including Apple AirPlay and Bluetooth
As well as MusicCast, this Yamaha is also compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, letting you stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device, wirelessly, around your home. Just ask Siri where you want the music to play. For a quick and easy connection with your smartphone, use the Bluetooth connection for easy music streaming.
Internet, DAB and FM radio
Internet radio lets you listen to thousands of radio stations from around the world.
