Room-friendly floorstanders
Suitable for use in medium-sized to larger rooms, the Acoustic Energy AE509 speakers deliver smooth, dynamic sound, from an elegant and unobtrusive design. The all-carbon fibre drivers deliver a lightning-fast response, across the frequency response, making these speakers equally adapt with music from its most spartan to complex.
Dynamic bass response
Featuring twin mid/bass woofer cones, the AE509 punches hard. The carbon fibre drivers are light and rigid, ensuring the tight and punchy bass that’s become an Acoustic Energy sonic signature. For free-flowing sound, the bass enclosure is ported by a rear facing, slotted-port.
Mid-range precision
The carbon fibre mid/bass drivers have oversized voice coils, helping to deliver the most accurate and precise sound possible. The result is vocals that ‘leap’ from the speakers and breathtaking sense of realism from mid-range based instruments, such as piano and guitar.
Detailed and natural top-end performance
For seamless tonality between the drive units, the tweeter is also constructed from carbon fibre. Lighter and stiffer than typical hard dome tweeters, the top-end performance is lightning-fast yet natural. The tweeter’s surround incorporates a waveguide that helps seamlessly integrate the treble with the mid/bass drivers, giving a cohesive sound, throughout the frequency response.
Stylish cabinets, available in a range of finishes
The slimline cabinets have an unobtrusive footprint, making them a room-friendly design. They use 18mm thick RSC (Resonance Suppression Composite) construction to greatly reduce cabinet distortion that can colour the sound. Outriggers with spikes keep the speakers firmly in place. For the finish that best suits your décor, you can choose from Piano Black Gloss, Piano White Gloss and American Walnut wood veneer.
