Amazing for the Studio
These are beautiful Cans, exceptional for what I need, Mixing and mastering my Music is a joy, they reflect a high end Monitor set, my Adam Audio A series translate almost perfectly. They are relatively easy to power, they sound beautiful though the Spl Phonitor series Amps and Focusrite Clarret series in the studio. If you are looking for an exceptional Headphone the Beyerdynamic DT1990 pro's punch well above their weight, the X are an exceptional Studio headphone. Sonarworks calibration brings the best out of them for studio work and it's easy to see why so many top producers and engineers use and love the LCD X. The detail and slam is there and they are relatively easy to drive. They are beautifully engineered, OK they cost significantly more than the DT1990 pros and you do get that edge for your money. I wholeheartedly recommend them, for the professional producer/sound engineer and Audiophile. If you can afford the X they are an exceptional headphone. The 2021 edition is a step up in sound and design from the earlier X, the Music world love them and I am sure you will too.

Fantastic bit of kit
Tested these out for a little while courtesy of the Glasgow store and really happy I did. And now I have my own pair.
I wanted something that was both great for a sit down listening session and also for editing audio files. These, well, they're just ace. Desperately transparent where every note can be picked out and I think they're very comfortable despite peoples opinion they're 'too' heavy.
Overall, a joy and as usual, wonderful service from the team at RS

Once you hear you’ll understand
From first opening the packaging and seeing the carry case of which my new headphones where housed I could tell they were a premium product just waiting to be let out and sing sweet music to my ears.
I firstly connected them to my i phone to get a feel of the sound I’d eagerly waited to hear, but admittedly, I was rather unimpressed ! ( which I suppose is understandable with my source coming direct from a smart phone)
I said to myself my B&W PX 7’s give out a better sound for a fraction of the cost. I then connected them to the home system which is a Technics set up… and wow that’s when they truly came alive !!
The whole soundstage is just breathtaking, you can definitely hear parts in tracks that I can guarantee you’ve never heard before you listen to your music collection through them.
I love genres from across the board… which ranges from electronica, to jazz, to rock, to classical and these headphones definitely hit the sweet spot for me on all I’ve mentioned.
Also another point id like to touch upon is that in a lot of online reviews people mention the weight of them, and yes whilst they do feel quite heavy in the hand they honestly aren’t that bad at all; they’re so comfortable and I can wear them for hours at a time
( and believe me I have ) so if you’re looking for a new premium pair of headphones and these are within your budget, I can honestly say you will not be disappointed in doing so and I wish you many hours of enjoyment if you do decide upon purchasing a pair.

Beyond expectations ....
Was in doubt between these and the Focal Clear MG so decided to do a test session, facilitated by the excellent RS London Bridge Team!
In the end decided for the LCD-X, because they just sounded better to me, which may be personal preference. The ultimate test song for me is Time from the Inception OST and this was the first time I could clearly hear the separation which most of my previous headphones (Amiron, HD 600, Philips X2) all failed to achieve.
They are easy to drive - the Mojo has no problems with these, but hooked up to an Aune X7s they really come to life.
Not cheap hence 4* for value but they really offer a new way to listen to music. Audeze should have include an XLR cable for this money.

Excellent Headphones!
Really pleased with the LCD-X headphones.
I’m hearing so much more detail in studio albums, and live recordings sound amazing!
It’s making me go back through my music collection to see what I might have been missing.

Gorgeous rich tonality with superb clarity
I bought these headphones through Richer Sounds Amazon store. I'm very happy with my purchase. The sound quality is beautiful, it's rare to have such rich, organic and natural tonality with such clarity, it's usually a trade off between one or the other. Vocals and instruments sound real, an acoustic guitar sounds like someone is sat in front of you playing an actual guitar, just stunning. The headphones are easy to drive and are very comfortable for me. I should imagine you would have to pay a lot more for minor improvements of the sound quality of these headphones
