More than just another Rumour
Replacing the PTFE insulation with high performance XLPE (Cross Linked Polyethylene) improves the performance of this already impressive cable. As used in their high-end Signature XL cable, XLPE outperformed PTFE in listening tests. Superior insulation reduces interference, giving a smoother, more natural sound with enhanced detail.
Quality, silver-plated construction
Two sets of silver-plated conductors are insulated with XLPE and arranged in a twist configuration. The XLPE insulated conductors are held in place by a vibration damping outer jacket. Using silver-plated copper gives the sound a more musical balance and, combined with the XLPE insulation, a more lifelike presentation.
High-end performance from an unobtrusive cable
Rumour X produces excellent definition right through the frequency range, outstanding dynamics and, once run in, an outstandingly neutral tonal quality. Great cables at a good price
I bought these cables to replace my old cables and they do sound different (in a good way) The sound is far more controlled and the details are better at the top end. Would recommend trying the cables as an upgrade.

Cambridge Audio and Project Debut Pro
Bought Cambridge system Amp CA61, CD transport, Streamer, Project Debut Turntable and Preamp and Dali 5 speakers. There are so many options and I wanted sone advice for a home hifi system.. things have changed since the 80s.. the staff at Richer Sounds (Nick) asked the right questions and I’m glad I bought in my older speakers as it showed how newer speakers can be noticeably better.. Although I didn’t demo the system I ended up buying the speaker test was very useful and I wasn’t made to feel pressured to buy anything, which is credit to the staff. I obtained a decent price for all the equipment which surprised me as normally online sales are cheaper but when you get good advice and a good price from a store then you get a great result. System sounds fantastic however yet to listed to the turntable.. thanks to Richer Sounds who I’d recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their hifi equipment. Great kit and great service.

Made it 'sing'
I have had these speaker cables a fortnight. They were fitted in the Bournemouth store with Chord ohmic banana plugs. The combination is great! I have an old but decent budget system. They have made it 'sing'. The sound is clear, detailed and sweet. I could listen all day. The staff were very easy to deal with, friendly, helpful and business-like.
