More than just a headphone amp
With its wide range of inputs and outputs, the FiiO K15 has everything needed to operate as the heart of your desktop audio system. The fully balanced design suits a wide range of headphones, with ample power to drive even the most demanding models. FiiO’s PEQ technology lets you tailor the sound to your exact requirements. A comprehensive, touchscreen display and user-friendly control interface completes this masterful package.
VELVET SOUND technology for silky-smooth audio
The K15 is amongst the first to use the new AKM high-end DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). The AK4479SVQ features AKM’s VELVET SOUND technology, delivering lower distortion and extended bandwidth for the most lifelike sound possible. With dedicated chips for left and right channels, the soundstaging is further enhanced.
Power to your headphones
For smooth, detailed sound, the K15 features a Class AB amp with discrete circuits. With high quality MJE243/253 transistors, it produces a high current, with low output impedance. The result is up to 3000mW+3000mW power output, allowing the amp to effortlessly drive both full-size headphones and in-ear monitors.
The hub of your system - use as a desktop pre-amp
With no fewer than eight operating modes, the K15 effectively becomes the hub of your entire desktop audio system. Stream music via Bluetooth (aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LDAC) AirPlay or Roon Ready for top quality, wireless sound. Input digital sources, such as a CD player or streamer via optical or coaxial digital inputs. For analogue outputted sources there are balanced (4.4mm) and single-ended line inputs. The K15 also supports local playback via a USB flash drive. Thanks to the XMOS 16-core processor, Hi-Res music files up to 768kHz/32 bit and DSD512 are supported.
Choice of headphone outputs
As well as delivering the power to drive your headphones, the K15 also has the connectivity to match. For balanced headphones, the device has both 4.4mm and XLR4 outputs. Using a balanced signal between the source and headphones reduces noise and interference. For conventional headphone connectivity, a 6.35mm, single-ended socket is also standard.
Fully balanced circuits for the purest sound
From DAC decoding, low-pass filtering, gain control and onwards to the headphone amplification, the K15’s audio circuit benefits from being a fully differential (balanced) design. This reduces distortion and noise, maximising the dynamic range for the most expressive sound quality possible. There are also XLR balanced outputs, letting you extend the balanced signal to your headphones and hi-fi system.
Tailor the sound to perfection, with PEQ
Supporting all the digital inputs, FiiO’s PEQ technology lets you fine-tune the sound to perfection. The 10-band PEQ modifies the headphone’s frequency response curve, letting you not only adjust the sound for personal preference but also overcome your headphone’s weak spots.
Comprehensive, touchscreen display
Keeping control of your K15 is easy. As well as using a simple facia switch layout and supplied remote control, the device also features a touchscreen display. The 3.93 inch LCD display gives you fast access to various settings and functions via touch.
Multi-protection circuits for peace of mind
For high reliability and peace of mind, the K15 uses an array of protection circuits. These include output DC and overload protection and power input overcurrent protection. Amplifier temperature protection ensures that both the amp and your headphones are protected at all times. Best of all, the multiple protection circuits are triggered automatically, meaning that you can sit back and enjoy the sound, stress-free.
