The IOTAVX AVXP1 is a 7-channel power amplifier that’s ideal for use in a high-end home cinema system. Use with an AV processor and power a 7.1 surround sound system or a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos / DTS:X system with two ceiling/up-firing speakers. As your system grows, simply add additional power amps.
The perfect match for the AVX17 AV processor
As this is a dedicated power amplifier, the ideal match for complete home cinema amplification is the IOTAVX AVX17. Add one AVXP1 for essential Dolby Atmos or DTS:X sound, or two amps to enjoy the AVX17’s full 13.4 channel surround sound potential. Connect via pro-quality XLR Balanced and enjoy powerful, harmonious surround sound.
Toroidal transformer for clean, dynamic sound
With a massive toroidal transformer at its heart, cooled by over-sized, aluminium heatsinks and feeding high-current output transistors, the AVXP1 has impressive power. Even with all channels driven, into an 8 ohm load, the AVXP1 outputs an impressive 110 watts per channel. Switch to 4 ohm speakers and this increases to 170 watts per channel or 250 watts in stereo mode. That effortless power also gives crisp dynamics – the type of sound that keeps you on the edge of your seat during tense movie scenes.
Clean sound
More than just powerful, the MCA 525 GEN 2 has clarity and resolution covered, too. Advanced power supply regulators, high quality filter capacitors and precision construction all help give this amp a superb signal-to-noise ratio of 120dB. This means you get near none existent background noise, letting you hear every subtle nuance of sound. If a pin drops on the soundtrack, you’ll hear it.
Professional XLR, balanced inputs
More usually found in studios, XLR balanced sockets offer excellent noise resistance and a ‘locked in’ connection for the lowest distortion and most secure connection. AVXP1 power amplifier offers a choice of these alongside standard, single-ended RCA phono inputs. Outputs are via gold-plated, 4mm binding posts.
