The Origin Live Conqueror features the highest quality components and construction, making it the ideal tonearm for some of the best turntables on the market. From its carbon fibre strengthened tonearm to its Rhodium-plated plugs, every element of this premium tonearm is finished to the highest standard. The result is all the musicality you expect from Origin Live but with even greater transparency and holographic soundstaging.
Carbon fibre enhanced arm tube for improved rigidity
For the most rigid arm tube possible, the Conqueror uses a hybrid alloy and carbon fibre construction. Together with a sleeved rear stub, the improved rigidity means that the cartridge is held more steadily than ever. Ideal for pairing with expensive cartridges that only reveal their full potential when used with super-rigid tonearms, the Conqueror closely highlights musical detail that’s missing from other designs.
Enhanced counterweight
The Conqueror model features a premium quality counterweight for improved sound and adjustability. The rigidly attached counterweight is decoupled to minimise energy reflection back down the arm tube. The counterweight also adjusts with precision, letting you fine tune the tracking force to a high degree of accuracy.
Dual pivot bearing
For the lowest levels of friction, the Conqueror uses dual pivot bearings. These give the sonic advantages of uni-pivot tonearms – such as a natural, flowing sound – but without the fiddly setup and wobbly cueing issues. They’re also more robust than regular jewelled bearings, helping to ensure improved durability and longevity.
Precision adjustments, including azimuth
Azimuth adjusts the vertical tilt angle of your cartridge, ensuring that the stylus fits the groove as precisely as possible. The Conqueror is also fitted with an enhanced VTA (height) adjustment that’s accessible from above the armboard, making instant adjustments possible. Using a falling weight side bias adjustment, the Conqueror achieves a constant anti-skating force, with lower resonance than alternative designs.
