Much better than generic stands.
I bought these to support my concept 20 speakers and they do a fine job. The concept 20s have little metal feet that locate in 3 holes in top plate but they are not attached. You could use other speakers on these stands, just use blobs of blu tack to stick them to the top plate and you're good to go. What makes these stands so good? Most speaker stands consist of 2 steel plates connected by one or more thin wall steel tubes. The plates act like springs and allow the stand to resonate at low frequency. The tubes will ring like a bell and resonate at high frequency. You then have to fill the tubes with sand or steel shot to get the whole thing under control. The Q Acoustics stands have a top plate made from 2 sheets of steel with a layer of foam in between, this has its own damping built in. The pillar is made from MDF and is acoustically dead, it is very heavy and might be solid. It has a groove in the back to hide the cable. Three feet are much better than four, if you have four feet the stand will always wobble and then you have to adjust the feet to match the floor. The spikes are adjustable so you can get the top plate level and come with rubber covers for hard floors. Finally these are cheaper than good quality generic stands that you need to fill with stuff to make them work.

Secure speaker to stands .
Hi , I bought a pair of these speaker stands about eight years ago. Bought from a different retailer. They told me a good way to secure the speakers to the stand was to use four pea sized amounts of “Blue Tack” , and it does work very well.

Look great, sound great, few quibbles...
Bought these this week and built them up straight away. That's where I encountered some problems with holes not being completely well aligned and some of the bolts used clearly quite cheap and have poor hex cuts for the allen key. Figured ways around those problems and got listening. WOW. Absolutely true what people say about these stands and how they compliment and improve the concept 20 speakers so totally worth doing it you can.
Last bonus point that isn't mentioned anywhere, there's no permanent attachment or even half decent mechanism to hold the speakers onto the stand so they are slightly vulnerable to being knocked off...will have to wait and see how they fare!

Fantastic Stand - Perhaps a Little Pricey
Excellent looking stands - the only ones I could convince my girlfriend to let me buy and have in our living room. Come with glass feet separate, but assembly was very easy with included tools. I have mine on carpet with the metal spikes providing an extremely stable base. They are paired with Monitor Audio Bronze 2s and my only complaint would be the tops are slightly slippery, I am concerned that at some point I could knock the speakers and they could topple off the relatively small base plate. I don't think there is anything that could be done about this though which is why i haven't marked the stands down for it. Perhaps a little pricey but having had them for a few months, I am pleased I spent the extra money to get the ones i actually wanted.

Dedicated stand for Q-Acoustic Concept 20 speaker
Purchased with my new Q-Acoustic Concept 20 speakers.
Easy to assemble ( comes flat packed ).
Substantial and high quality materials.
Beautiful high gloss finish, no defects.
Concept 20 speakers locate into the top plate.
The two spikes on the glass back plate are adjustable, but the front spike mounted on the underside of the column is not. In order to get the speakers absolutely level it was necessary to put coins under the front spikes. This is the only thing I would take issue with.
If mounting the stands on a hard floor caps are provided for the spikes to prevent damage.
Overall however a very stylish and effective speaker stand.
