Compact enough to suit the smallest rooms, or even be used as desktop monitors, the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 4.2 speakers are ideal for when you don’t want the speakers to dominate. Send some music through them, however, and you’re in for a surprise. Assisted by twin passive woofers, the bass response is mightily impressive for a speaker of its size. At the top-end, the AMT tweeters soar to the highest frequencies with silk-like smoothness.
AMT tweeter for the purest top-end response
For the purest top-end sound, the Clarity 4.2 uses AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter units. Using a pleated diaphragm that ‘squeezes’ and ‘expands’ the air, the AMT system moves four times more air than a traditional dome tweeter. This reduces distortion, letting the most subtle treble detail shine through.

Making exclusive use of PURIFI’s high-end USHINDI woofers, the Clarity 4.2 benefits from exceptional resolution throughout the mid-range and bass. With its unique woofer surround, the driver delivers incredibly precise cone movement, reducing distortion to a minimum and ensuring the most natural sound possible.

Bolstered by twin PURIFI USHINDI passive woofers, the Clarity 4.2 reproduces bass notes right down to 40Hz – a figure that’s more usually associated with much larger speakers. Replacing traditional bass ports, these superior passive drivers eliminate port noise for a cleaner bass response. They also improve bass efficiency at all volume levels, ensuring a richly balanced sound that’s rare from such a compact speaker.
Rigid cabinet with aluminium front baffle and Basotect damping
So that the drivers can perform at their very best, the cabinet is every bit as well engineered. Constructed from 15mm MDF, with 12mm CNC machined aluminium baffles, the highly rigid design quashes vibrations for the least amount of distortion possible. Inside the cabinets, Basotect foam absorbs reflected sound, further maintaining the sound’s purity.
