Building on the strengths of the LX3BT model, the Sony PS-LX5BT takes the next step up in sound and style. An enhanced cartridge and tonearm delivers superior tracking for a more detailed sound, while a rubber mat improves damping. With a sophisticated all-black finish, including the platter, the LX5BT is a clean-cut classic. Just like other Sony models, it’s also easy to use. Fully automatic operation and Bluetooth connectivity makes it ideal for all users and systems.
Enhanced design for superior sound
Taking the next step up from the LX3BT model, the PS-LX5BT features a number of improvements. For more efficient damping and lower distortion, the platter is fitted with a rubber mat. Gold-plated RCA sockets let you connect your choice of interconnect cable*, rather than being stuck with the basic one. The enhanced tonearm features an upgraded headshell that lets you improve the cartridge when you’re ready.

Perfectly matched to the enhanced tonearm, the high precision cartridge tracks at a lower weight than with the LX3BT model, reducing the wear and tear on your vinyl while also revealing improved detail for a more lifelike and spacious sound.
Bluetooth connection with Hi-Res sound
Featuring a Bluetooth connection, the Sony PS-LX5BT is perfect for playing vinyl through a Bluetooth speaker. Wireless connectivity also makes it ideal for when you want the deck on the other side of the room to your hi-fi or speaker system. With Qualcomm aptX Adaptive processing, the wireless signal is higher quality than ever and has the potential to deliver Hi-Res Wireless Audio.
Or wire it up – with built-in phono stage
For traditional hi-fi systems, a wired output is also standard. Thanks to the built-in phono stage, you can plug this into any AUX input or use your amp’s dedicated phono input – the PS-LX5BT easily switches between the two.
Selectable gain
Sometimes switching to vinyl can mean having to turn the volume up or down to compensate for a different signal level from your other music sources. With the PSLX5BT, a switchable gain control gives you a permanent solution. Simply switch the output between Low/Mid/High for the perfect level for your system.
Automatic for ease of use
With fully automatic playback, you can sit back and not worry about damaging your precious vinyl or the stylus. Simply select the record size and speed then press ‘start’. The tonearm then lifts, moves over to the record, lowers itself, lifts at the end of the record and finally returns to its rest – automatically.
