The ideal match for preAmp III
For the perfect pairing, match this power amp with Tangent’s preAmp III. Placed side-by-side or power amp on top, the pair take up less space than a regular amp. Link by a trigger cable and the power amp switches on simultaneously with the pre-amp. They’re also sonically matched, meaning that you get optimal sound when used together.

The cool-running, Class D amplifier delivers a punchy 50 watts per channel. Use with 4 ohm speakers and this increases to 100 watts. Sound quality is crisp and punchy, with ample power for room-filling sound, making this compact amp an easy match for most full-size amps.

If you’re looking for ‘party’ power, simply add a second PowerAmpster III, switch each to ‘Mono’ mode and the power leaps to a mighty 200 watts per channel.

When used with a compatible device (such as the preAmp III), these offer an ultra-low distortion connection, with excellent resistance to electrical interference. Because the signal is balanced, it also loses far less signal quality over longer lengths, making it an essential connection for distances over 10 metres.
Remote power up
The third generation of PowerAmpster now comes with a 12V trigger input. This lets you power the amp on/off via a remote trigger – ideal for when the power amp is placed out of site in a cupboard, for example. The trigger system also makes this ideal for multiroom systems, where you might have multiple power amps that need switching on and off on demand.
