Product Information
Designed to optimise your Teac Reference components, the Teac CG-10M clock generator helps deliver the most precise sound possible.
Master clock generator for ultimate digital performance
The Teac CG-10M is a master clock generator that delivers an extremely accurate clock signal, enabling DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors) to perform at their very best. Clock signals are crucial to how digital devices perform, with even the tiniest time fluctuations causing a distorted signal. To ensure the most accurate signal possible, the CG-10M deploys a crystal oscillator that’s encased in a temperature-controlled box. With it operating under ideal temperatures, it generates an extremely accurate 10 MHz clock signal, optimising any compatible DAC’s performance.
The ideal partner for your Teac Reference digital device
Optimal clock performance affects any component that uses a DAC or feeds a digital signal to one, making the Teac CG-10M the ideal upgrade for many components. From Teac’s own Reference range, you can upgrade the performance of the VRDS-701T and PD-505T CD transports, VRDS-701 CD player, NT-505-X Network DAC, UD-505-X pre-amp DAC and the UD-701N Network DAC pre amp. It also works with any digital component that features a 10MHz clock input.
Four BNC outputs
Thanks to its four, fully independent BNC outputs, you don’t have to decide which of your Teac components to use the CG-10M with and it’ll run with them all. From the power supply to the buffer-amp at the output stage, each output is independent and isolated, ensuring there’s no cross-interference between devices. By incorporating a buffer-amp into each circuit, no degradation of the signal waveform occurs when the clock signal is shared by multiple devices.
Toroidal power transformer for stable current supply
With its absolute precision circuity, it’s important for the CG-10M to have as stable a power supply as possible. For this reason, Teac have specified a high-capacity, toroidal power transformer. This supplies a constant and stable current that greatly helps the clock generator’s efficiency.
‘Pin-Point’ feet for mechanical isolation
Incorporating two separate metal sections within a single housing, Teac’s Pin-Point feet provide highly effective isolation from surface vibrations. The two-part feet use an enclosed ‘spike and cup’ solution to effectively disperse vibrations. With three feet fitted, the unit remains stable on all types of surfaces.
Full metal chassis
Designed to match Teac’s other Reference 500 products, the CG-10M fits right into a Teac system. The robust metal chassis, reinforced with aluminium panels not only looks and feels good but also helps in further isolating the delicate internal electronics from outside vibrations.
Take your Teac Reference system to the next level, with the CG-10M.
