Featuring a raft of premium technology, the Eversolo DAC-Z10 is a high quality DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) that’s all set to transform the sound from a wide range of sources. From TV, via HDMI, PC, via USB, Bluetooth and much more, the DAC has the ability to serve your entire digital audio system. What’s more, analogue inputs make it ideal for use as a pre-amp too. Alternatively, the headphone socket makes it perfect as a DAC/headphone amp combi.
Dual decoding modules for stunning resolution
Built on a fully balanced architecture, the DAC-Z10 pairs dual AKM AK4191 digital processors with dual AKM AK4499EX DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors). Combined with AKM’s Velvet Sound technology it delivers stunning clarity and tonal richness.
Precision timing
The DAC-Z10 integrates an OCXO temperature-controlled crystal oscillator and PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) technology to achieve precise clock timing. Accurate timing is fundamental to Hi-Res Audio reproduction, and with the stability of the OCXO and the precision of PLL correction, the DAC-Z10 ensures that every note is delivered exactly as intended.
Supports Hi-Res Audio
Thanks to its powerful processors, the DAC-Z10 works wonders with all types of Hi-Res Audio music files. Connect via USB and you can stream files in studio quality at up to 32 bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512. Coaxial and optical digital inputs support 24 bit/192kHz and DSD64.
External clock support
For those that want to take timing precision to the next level, the DAC-Z10 features external clock support. Connect an external clock via 75Ω or 50Ω BNC sockets and further improve the stability and accuracy.
Fully balanced, analogue pre-amplifier
Continuing the balanced theme, the DAC-Z10 also features a dual channel, fully balanced analogue pre-amp. This not only means that you can connect analogue sources, via RCA or XLR, but also that the output signal has a smooth sound delivered from all input sources. Deploying an R2R resistor array for volume control, every nuance of musical detail remains intact.
Three independent power supplies for low noise
For the best in signal stability and the lowest possible background noise, the DAC-Z10 deploys three independent toroidal power transformers. With separate power supplies for the left channel, right channel and system power, there’s less chance of inter-channel distortion, giving you less noise and more detail.
Connect all your digital devices
When it comes to connecting up, the DAC-Z10 has every option covered. Connect a TV via the HDMI ARC interface and transform its sound. For the best results from PC, the isolated USB-B socket is ideal. For professional applications there are also (8-mode) IIS and AES/EBU digital inputs. For other devices, such as a CD transport, network streamer or set-top TV box, there are two optical and two coaxial digital inputs.
Bluetooth aptX HD and Adaptive
Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth and, thanks to the top quality Qualcomm interface, you get to hear wireless Bluetooth music at its best. Compatible with aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and SBC/AAC, you get the potential for top quality wireless sound from your smartphone or tablet.
Balanced outputs
Using a fully balanced audio circuit, distortion is kept to the lowest levels possible. To maximise its full potential, Eversolo has fitted the DAC-Z10 with XLR balanced outputs. Use these to connect to a compatible amplifier and you’ll hear the DAC perform to its best ability. RCA phono outputs are also fitted, with the ability to switch either type of output off for reduced interference.
High performance headphone amp
More than just a top quality DAC and pre-amp, this Eversolo also makes a great headphone amp. The dedicated amp is powerful enough to drive a wide range of headphones from 16 – 300 ohms. High, medium and low gain options let you tailor the sound to suit your headphones, with a smooth-acting volume control to hand for precise adjustment.
