Delivering top quality, immersive sound from mini cabinets, the Fyne Audio F5S punches well above its weight.
Luxury mini speakers As the smallest speakers in the F500S range, the Fyne Audio F5S compact minis are perfect for many applications. Ideal for use in small rooms or as premium desktop speakers, the F5S speakers deliver a spacious sound from a compact footprint. With their immersive staging, they also make excellent surround speakers within an F500S home cinema speaker system.
Highly detailed and spacious top-end For a top-end response that’s both smooth and detailed, the F5S uses an enhanced, magnesium dome tweeter. The innovative design continues with the tweeter being positioned in the centre of the mid-range woofer, rather than on its own. Using their proprietary IsoFlare waveguide, the high frequency sound blends seamlessly with the rest of the mix, giving a wide and natural-sounding soundstage from a single point source.
Multifibre cone with fluted rubber surround for natural-sounding vocals The main drive unit is designed and engineered with maximum attention to detail. The multifibre cone is attached to the chassis by a FyneFlute, fluted rubber surround. This effectively damps unwanted resonances, making the speakers sound exceptionally smooth and lifelike.
Presence control For sound that’s tailored to your taste, the F5S is fitted with a Presence Control. This operates around vocal frequencies and has the effect of pulling the vocals forward within the soundstage (+) or pushing them back (-). If you’re finding the vocals sounding ‘lost’ within the mix then simply switch to +, and vice versa.
Unique BassTrax port system The engineering excellence continues right to the bottom of the speaker, with the BassTrax port system. Rather than using a basic bass port at the front or back of the cabinet, Fyne Audio has developed a sophisticated downwards-firing port system. Channelling the air down a profiled diffuser, the air is dispersed uniformly in the room. This neat bit of design makes the speakers far less fussy about room positioning, making them easier to accommodate in most homes.
Top quality finishes For the F5S model, Fyne Audio have elected to use selected real wood veneers and piano gloss finishes for these top quality speakers. Real wood veneers are available in walnut or black oak finishes to best match your home décor. Alternatively, choose the premium piano gloss black finish. Polished, silver driver surrounds contrast with the cabinet finish for a striking style.
