Why super tweeters?
Think of the Fyne Audio S-Trax as the subwoofer equivalent for top-end audio response. Although your existing speakers already produce treble frequencies, the S-Trax take this to an extraordinary new level. There are several S-Trax benefits that you’ll hear, including a higher frequency response for reduced harmonic distortion and a more immersive, less directional sound, due to the 360 degree lens guide.
Purer treble
Featuring premium quality, magnesium dome tweeters, the S-Trax pushes the frequency response right up to 50,000Hz. Although this is well above our hearing, by allowing the music to reach these levels instead of ‘capping’ or compressing it, the high level energy that we do hear sounds much more natural and lifelike.
Room-filling, 360 degree sound
The S-Trax doesn’t simply increase the typical frequency response; it also redirects it for the most immersive sound possible. The S-Trax super tweeters work with almost any speakers. Pair them with Fyne Audio models, however, and you’re guaranteed optimal performance. Developed using the company’s IsoFlare technology speakers, you’re assured a seamless sonic signature. Fyne Audio has also produced a positioning reference table, with precise placement details for pairing with its range of speakers, giving you optimal time alignment.
Simple connectivity
Adding the Fyne Audio S-Trax to your existing speakers is simplicity itself. Simply take a length of speaker cable (ideally the same as already being used by your existing speakers) and connect from speaker terminal to the S-Trax terminal. If you’re using bi-wired speakers, take the cable from the high frequency terminals. An additional earth terminal is also fitted to the tweeters which, when grounded, helps to prevent radio interference that can mask fine detail.
Adjustable output
For the precise level of high frequency energy that best suits your system, room and tastes, a simple control knob lets you adjust the response by +/- 4.5dB. Adjustment is so quick and easy that you could even change the setting when using different sources, for example.
