The Harbeth Nelson Pro seeks to cure the two aspects that compromise small speakers – lack of bass and the need for stands. The ingenious solution integrates a discreet subwoofer into the base of each stand, meaning that you get more bass without taking up any more space.
Pro upgrades
The Harbeth Nelson Pro is fitted with speaker cable binding posts and is supplied with Harbeth-branded cables. Replacing the static connection cable, it gives you more freedom to use different lengths and types of speaker cables.
Ideal for the Harbeth P3ESR XD(2) and LS3/5A designs
Although suitable for any mini monitor type speaker, the Nelson Pro was developed with Harbeth’s own P3ESR XD(2) in mind. They also work especially well with LS3/5A monitor speakers, of which there have been many over the past fifty years.
Smooth, well-integrated bass
With a 110mm woofer, powered by a 50 watt digital amplifier at the base of each stand, you get a smoothly balanced spread of bass. Bass depth and power is substantially increased on using the speakers alone, yet it is also seamlessly integrated, without the ‘one-note’ thump you’d perhaps expect from a subwoofer.
Supporting act
Equally as important as the bass extenders, the stands play a vital role in extracting the speakers’ optimal performance.
