This innovation utilises two conductors of different diameters to carry the same audio signal. This has the effect of providing an alternative path for high frequency audio components which might otherwise become time smeared in a single audio pathway.
Foamed polyethylene dielectric
Foamed Polyethylene has a low dielectric constant and has been used to cut down on the amount of audio signal energy lost due to cable capacitance.
Analoc Locking RCA Plugs
The QED Analoc plug is a low eddy current design featuring small high purity copper conductors in place of the usual large volume brass body found in ordinary high quality plugs. This cuts down or eliminates the tendency for the changing magnetic field in the conductor to induce eddy currents which can affect the micro-timing of the audio signal.

Great clear responsive cables
QED reference cables sound and look incredible. They give a great clear response and are very well made, the analoc plugs are brilliant, they give such an air tight fit to your equipment. I’m glad I chose them above some of the other cables that I was considering. They are well worth the upgrade for anyone that feels the need to clean up their hifi sound.

Easily noticeable difference
Bought this after lots of research.
Found the best price on RS.
Easily notice the difference in clarity and detail over the standard cables.
I shall work to ensure all my cables are at least QED ref 40 from now.

Fast Delivery... Great staff help
I spent some time checking reviews on cables, working out if it was even worth upgrading. Speaker cables too. Luckily i saw some end of line speaker cable cheap enough to go for and the difference was instantly heard, i was amazed... really amazed.
So i carried on and started looking at interconnectors. Made a decision to go with QED either performance 40 or the reference here... with the reference being £100 i was leaning toward the performance, luckily i saw the reference almost half price here at Richer Sounds (always my 1st shop point anyway), phoned the store, paid and had it within 5 days.
The difference again was mind blowing. From the free cables to a £100 was obviously audible, cant ever see myself paying more than that but am so happy with the results i shall ensure all my cable are at that sort of level from now on :)
Phoning the store is always worth while as they did me 2 great deals on speaker cables from what was lying around going out of stock. And you never feel less valued from them even if spending less. :)

Nicely made, quality feel and improved sound
Bought to connect my Cambridge Audio 851A to the 851W power amp. Sounds cleaner and more open than the 10yr old QED £40 cables I had been using.

First thing I noticed about this cable is its superb construction,it looks worth it!The second thing is the sound EXCELLENT,your cable search is over without paying silly money for some cables out there.If this is your first cable upgrade from the rubbish cables supplied with some cd players it will come as a revelation as to what you were missing! BUY ONE!

Quality Cable
Not cheap but beautifully built and resulting in great sound. I like the locking mechanism although it's counter-intuitive, disobeying the breaks the righty-tighty rule.
