Analogue RCA – RCA Interconnect

Tuned ARAY geometry
The Shawline analogue cables use the same Tuned ARAY conductor geometry as Chord’s reference cables, to produce a ground breaking cable. All Tuned ARAY cables have an extraordinary degree of musical transparency and the Shawline Analogue transforms the performance of the new breed of DACs, CD players and Streamers.
The Shawline is built from PTFE insulated silver-plated conductors and uses a composite shielding material that works over a wide bandwidth and also reduces mechanical noise. The cable is assembled within a flexible plastic tube chosen to further reduce mechanical noise and a protective outer braid is fitted.
Top quality VEE3 plugs
The RCA plugs are Chord’s excellent VEE3 design and are direct silver-plated to improve signal transfer.
Upgrade to award-winning sound, with the Chord Company Shawline.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lewis John from I'm a convert! There's so much nay-saying about the benefits of 'premium' interconnects that I've remained a bit sceptical until... My set up is Kef LS50 speakers, Arcam D33 DAC, Rega Planar 1 (with P2 glass platter and Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge upgrade) plus I recently upgraded my amplifier; Arcam A19 to a Roksan Caspian M2 Integrated Amp. However after upgrading the amp I was a little disappointed that there was still the same muddiness to the sound from my DAC, so I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my interconnects! For context, I was replacing pretty cheap interconnects that I've owned for around 10 years (Cambridge Audio AUD700 @ £29) - connected between my DAC and my amp (the Rega plugged straight into the phono input on the amp). Hence I browsed the Richersounds website and plumped for the Chord Company Shawline 1m (RCA/RCA analogue) interconnects @ £200 (ouch!) on the basis that I'd spend as much as I could reasonably afford. My lord, what a difference! That muddiness completely disappeared (!) and was replaced with clarity, purity and rich acoustics! Wow - clearly I should have replaced my interconnects ages ago! Given that my new amp doesn't have a phono input stage, I had to buy a preamp (Schiit Mani) and hence used my old interconnects to connect the phono preamp to the Roksan but (you guessed it!) the audio from the turntable was muddy and lacklustre, compared to how I remembered it with the A19, which I'd sold in the meantime (whilst waiting for my Mani preamp to be delivered from the USA). Yikes! I realised I had to bite the bullet again and stump up for another set of interconnects. Back to my trusty Richersounds, I spotted a 'refurbished' set of Chord Company Shawline 1m interconnects (@ 35% reduction on RRP), so quickly placed my order! After swift delivery, I swapped out the 'old' interconnects and plugged in the new (refurbished) Shawlines and wow! Nothing at all subtle here (and how awesome my turntable now also sounded)! To be fair, the old interconnects didn't always sound so bad and clearly must have degraded badly over the years, as the difference was night and day. Either way it's convinced my that interconnects do (or can) make a huge difference! I have no idea if I'd notice/hear the difference between eg [Chord Company] Clearway versus the Shawlines though! Suffice to say the old interconnects went into the bin (not even worth giving away!) and I'm now an interconnect convert! Hmmm that speaker cable could also do with replacing...

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrMike from Really capable good value cable. I have discovered through upgrading my system that I like Chord cables and I can hear definite sonic differences between Clearway a very good cable indeed and Shawline which is to me just better, by which I mean closer to invisible. Darker silences, sweet but clearly defined highs which improve sound staging, as well as a fast dynamic low end. It all makes for great detail with no fatigue, even at raised listening levels. I wish I had funds to explore further up the scale but for now I feel nothing is lacking and listening just a pleasure. If you buy some and can't tell the difference you can always sell on.... maybe to me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Nicely transparent sound I have three interconnects in my system and am gradually upgrading them. The Chord Shawline is the latest.. joining a set of Tellurium Q blacks, which are a nightmare to use with their tightening connectors, unlike the Chords, which are a delight. Compared to my old QEDs and indeed the Telluriums, the Shawlines are noticeably transparent - I can hear more detail. Very good value, I’d say. My system is reasonably high end, EAR valve amp and Martin Logan speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Puddy from Improving the overall sound of my system I bought this interconnect on the recommendation of the manager in the Holborn shop a couple of weeks ago to improve the link between my Cambridge pre and power amps. This cabke relemaces another worth but consjderably less expensive Chord prodict, which I have now used elsewher in my system. There is a fairly lengthy running in period described with the instructions and I doubt I am 25% of the way there currently. However, initial listenings are very encouraging. The overall presentation of my music is tighter and the separation between the instruments/voices even better than before. I am happy with my purchase and also the customer service I received in the shipment Again, well done Richer Sounds.
