Elliptical stylus
Like the VM95E model, the Nude or ‘N’ model features an elliptical stylus. This is more finely profiled than more basic conical ones, meaning the stylus gets further into the groove and pulls out more of your music.
Nude stylus
Where the EN version goes one better is with its nude stylus. A nude stylus features a one-piece tip and shank, rather than one being bonded to the other. This is more expensive to make but means better sound quality. Because weight is reduced, the stylus tracks better, giving more accurate sound. You’ll hear the biggest improvement in the treble, with enhanced detail and realism.
Longer lasting
A further benefit with nude styli is improved diamond grain alignment. With the grain alignment optimised, it means the diamond is more wear resistant and therefore lasts longer before you need to upgrade.

GREAT SERVICE FROM RICHER SOUNDS
I BOUGHT THE CARTRIDGE FROM SIMON AT THE GLASGOW BRANCH HE WAS VERY HELPFUL I RECEIVED THE CARTRIDGE THE NEXT WORKING DAY I PURCHASED TO REPLACE A A 35 YEAR OLD AUDIO TECHNICA AT 420E WHICH WAS STILL OK BUT NOT ABLE TO GET REPLACEMENT STYLUS I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY NEW CARTRIDGE WHICH SOUNDS A LOT BETTER.

Brilliant natural sound
I have managed to use this quite solidly since I bought it and it was an upgrade for the original one which came with my deck. There is loads more warmth and depth to the mid's and highs no matter what I am listening to. It also seems to make the bass sound more like it's meant to... at least with my setup anyway. I'm really glad that I went for the upgrade and would buy another one in a heartbeat if something happens to this one.

A good upgrade to over a 'standard' cartridge
I liked the soud I got from my Ortofon OM5 on my Project T1 but it felt slightly muddy. After a chat from richer sounds I decided this would be a good upgrade, and I am happy with the soud now. Much more separation and detail.
