Big screen. Big value
This great value Optoma projector is the ideal way to get big screen entertainment for less. Perfect for movie and sports nights or, thanks to the Gaming Mode, ideal for gaming, too. Vivid brightness makes it ideal for all-day use. The compact size and built-in speaker also make it ideal to pack up and take with you.
3400 ANSI Lumens for ‘lights on’ viewing
A class-leading brightness figure of 3400 lumens makes this projector a practical proposition at any time – day or night. Unlike projectors from the past, you don’t need to dim the lights to get supersized, bright, crisp images.
Stunning colour accuracy
Modelled on the High Definition TV standard, Rec.709, the HD145X delivers the truest possible colour reproduction. With such accurate colour, you can enjoy lifelike images from sports, movies and documentaries.
Optoma's Dynamic Black helps give the HD145X an improved contrast ratio (over the HD143X) of 25,000:1. By smoothly adjusting the lamp output for each frame, the HD145X produces the darkest blacks alongside the brightest whites.
ISF modes for the best picture, day or night
Thanks to ISF preset modes, you can optimise the picture for all lighting conditions. Save your calibrated day and night settings and get quick access to the ideal brightness and contrast levels.
Keystone correction for easier installation
Making the HD145X a cinch to set up is Keystone correction. With the ability to digitally shift the image by +/- 40 degrees in the vertical plain, the HD145X fits locations that are more difficult and enables a wider choice of screen options.
Gaming Mode and 24p
Getting the best from gaming, this projector features a special Gaming Mode. This optimises the projector's settings to give lightning fast response, maximum contrast and vivid colours, making gaming on the big screen even more involving. For movies, the HD145X is also 24P compatible. This means that it replays films shot at 24 frames per second at the correct speed, without glitching - just like at the cinema.
For an even more immersive picture, the HD145X is ready for 3D. Just add optional, compatible Optima 3D glasses, connect up to a compatible source and enjoy 3D images that are every bit as bold as at the cinema.
USB power – plug in Smart TV
Thanks to the built-in USB power outlet you can power your source device. Ideal for powering Smart TV dongles, such as the Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku or NOW TV, the HD145X makes adding Smart TV cheap and easy.
Dim the lights, or don’t, for big screen entertainment at home, with the Optoma HD145X.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JTee from Superb product so far! Had this a couple of days now and watched about 14 hours. My first serious projector and really pleased with it so far. Really quiet on Eco when Dynamic Black setting turned off. I was really worried it would be noisy but needn"t have worried when setting as above. Admittedly a bit noisier when Dynamic Black turned on but in reality this setting does not add that much, so not that different with it off. Amazed at picture quality when using a decent source. I use with 80 inch screen on its own stand. I find Cinema or Reference picture settings with Film gamma setting are superb most of the time ... sometimes Vivid for use in a bright room during daylight. Eco still fine even in daylight if Vivid is used. Inbuilt sound is ok but very tinny but not that worried as use separate 5.1 system anyway. Overall, would highly recommend for this price - top product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ksgk from Great service from RS, but had to return projector Bought this recently and got really good service from RS. Installed and the projector had better picture quality than HD141X that I had and somewhat similar noise profile too. There were some design flaws, which meant mounting this on the existing mount was problematic as the holes were too close to each other, so only ever could line up two holes with the mount. Also there was a flaw which meant the projector wouldnt turn on once in standby, via remote. Had to physically press the on button or power cycle the projector. It also shut off midway automatically couple of times. Unfortunately it seems build quality of optoma projectors seems to be on the decline. Richer sounds on the other hand have been great. Return has been arranged and now on the look out for another non-optoma projector.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tomfan from New model fewer features Had a 141 which was good so went for the updated model. Shocked to find Optoma have removed one of the HDMI sockets (now just 1). They saved maybe 50p on the build cost? I (and others I bet) needed 2 inouts so very frustrating. They also only supply 2 screw in feet for attaching to a ceiling mount - not enough (the 141 had 3)
