Austrian company Pro-Ject have been making turntables for over 30 years now. The Debut PRO is their 30th anniversary model, highlighting the company’s technical ability to make a turntable that’s not just class-leading in performance but also good-looking and great value for the level of engineering involved.
High quality engineering for the best sound
Every part of the Debut PRO is engineered to perfection. Starting with the CNC, precision milled and nickel coated tonearm bearing, to the heavy, TPE damped and anti-magnetic platter, each component is designed to meet the highest standards. It’s this precision engineering that gives the Debut PRO such a detailed and highly resolved sound quality, letting you hear every breathe of your favourite artist.
Hybrid tonearm for exceptional tracking
The Debut PRO features Pro-Ject’s technically advanced carbon-aluminium tonearm. This one-piece design is incredibly light and rigid, with the sound benefiting from the properties of both carbon fibre and aluminium. The carbon fibre provides strength, with the aluminium enhancing damping and electrical shielding properties. The result is an exceptional support for the cartridge, letting it retrieve the maximum amount of music from the record’s groove.
Adjust to suit any cartridge
The highly configurable tonearm adjusts for azimuth and VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) as well as weight. These settings fine-tune the cartridge position, making it easy to upgrade the cartridge and maximise its potential.
Supplied with Pick IT PRO cartridge
Based on the Ortofon 2M chassis, the Pick IT Pro cartridge is a high quality MM cartridge that’s optimised for the Debut PRO. This low capacitance, high output design gives a vibrant sound and suits the vast majority of phono inputs. It comes pre-fitted and aligned to the tonearm, giving you the best possible set-up, straight out of the box.
3-speed capability
Built-in electronic speed control lets you effortlessly switch between 33 and 45 speeds. Electronic control keeps the speed as accurate as possible, giving you the truest pitch. For 78rpm records, simply fit the supplied 78rpm belt (a 78rpm stylus is also required – Ortofon 2M 78).
Height adjustable metal feet
Three, height adjustable metal feet provide the perfect base for the Debut PRO. These not only help level the turntable but, thanks to the integral damping, help isolate the deck from surface vibrations, too.

A Perfect Turntable
I was due an upgrade on my previous Turntable, and with a 1500 strong record collection it was time to level up. The Pro-Ject Debut Pro is one of the nicest pieces of equipment I've ever used. The set up, which seems daunting on the surface was smooth and easy, and it looks incredibly smart. Sound wise, it is incredible. Deep bass, crisp trable and warm mids, and this is with a no bells and whistles Onkyo Amp and Mission MKII speakers. I can't recommend this turntable enough

Once again Richer Sounds deliver
I ordered my new Project Debut Pro turntable and I received it mid afternoon the following day. Tomasz was very helpful when I called the Edinburgh shop and gave me great advice re my selection. I now have my turntable set up and am very happy so far with the quality of the product.

Bringing back the magic of Vinyl
You can't beat the sound of vinyl !!! The first album i played bought back the memories of playing it on repeat many years ago. Well worth the money and definitely lives up to the reviews by What Hi-Fi and recommendations by the manager.

I bought this item a few days ago and it was delivered promptly. From guidance of Simon one of the staff members in Glasgow, he suggested the Amplifier I should pair with my turntable and speakers within my budget. An excellent product
I dropped into the Reigate branch this week for advice on turntables. With friendly help from John - I bought a Pro ject Debut pro which was handily already in stock. This device sounds great as it is but can have upgrades added at a later date for extra performance. Heartily recommend the service from Richer Sounds
